- There’s an elevator, but some rooms are reached by stairs — notify hotel if steps are a problem

- Room Service
With the recent addition of a spa offering massages, this intimate, elegant hotel has added one more reason to pamper yourself. The grand architecture of the 1870 building, careful interior design (all the artwork is original and for sale), and location on the Fontanka embankment — one of the chic-est addresses in town — will already have you feeling like a titled Russian straight out of Anna Karenina. When you’re ready to step back into modern times, the restaurant serves pan-Asian specialties, there are laptops for use in the lounge, and the WiFi is free and fast.
In the Area
It’s just a 10-minute walk from Nevsky Prospect — the busy, beating heart of the city— but the Rossi feels like a peaceful oasis, thanks to its riverfront location on Fontanka canal, around the corner from beautiful Rossi street, which is said to have perfect proportions, and ten minutes’ walk from Triton restaurant, a foodie favorite. It’s a stone’s throw from the Alexandrinksky Theatre, ornate Kazan Cathedral, and the art-packed Russian Museum, but if you’re willing to walk, drive, or helicopter a bit further afield, the concierge can arrange for sightseeing trips including rooftop tours, helicopter rides, and ghost tours of Mystical Petersburg.
How to Get There
This is my second time at Rossi and it is a pleasure to write a review to such an amazing hotel. Coming to Saint Petersburg for the second time as well, I wanted to show this incredible city to my sister so I got in touch with Rossi to book my stay, at the beginning I had a problem to get a reply from the staff, waiting quite a lot for an answer, but by the end Maria Kozis sorted my issue with a world class costumer service and reverted the bad impression I got after all the confusion.
Rossi is a beautiful hotel, well decorated, great facilities and very friendly staff.( First time I stayed there I didn't think they were that much friendly but that changed now!)
The room is amazing, I chose the same room I stayed in December last year, very spacious, huge bathtub, great view and clean.
The only point I must highlight is that the breakfast at the Fiolet restaurant is a bit disappointed. Maybe the hotel gives me high expectations on everything.. The food is average and the options are a bit restricted but that might be my own taste, having travelled a lot around Europe!
I would recommend Rossi to everyone that considers going to SPB, you won't be disappointed!!!
We were here in January and the Christmas Decorations were still up due to Russians celebrating Christmas on 7th January. This all added to the wonderful atmosphere of the Rossi with its open fire in the Reception and rich furnishings. We were offered a room upgrade for a small additional cost which we took and our room overlooked the Kontanka river and tree filled circle opposite. The room was wonderful - boutique furnishing and stylish bathroom with Hermes toiletries. All the usual - hairdryer, tea and coffee with large TV but only English speaking news. English speaking staff and lovely restaurant with great food - Asian influence. The only bar was at the entrance to the restaurant although there is a lounge area on the 5th floor. Excellent location. We used UBER very successfully although the hotel can book you taxis to and from if asked. Would stay here again.
Nice hotel, situated near one of the canals. Easy enough to head off for a walk and see many beautiful buildings and a Cat Cafe if you are interested.
Staff checked in daily to see how l our stay was and whether we needed anything.
Rooms are nice and clean, bathroom was huge. And the bed was so comfortable.
My two friends and I specifically booked a 3-night stay at the Rossi Hotel just to take advantage of the Spa Center - and none of it disappointed. The hotel staff treated us like royalty with the highest standard of hospitality. Our room was palatial with a grand piano, glass chandelier, and a 12-person dining table (not kidding). The spa staff members were all highly accommodating to our different body needs and comfort levels, each filled with warmth and professionalism, which made for an exceptional afternoon of relaxation. We would recommend for all.
Can't wait to come back,
3 Girls from New York
We stayed for 4 nights at Rossi.
The room was comfortable and modern with climate control unit. In the bathroom there was under floor heating and a waterfall shower.
The service was good with most staff speaking enough English to get by. Breakfast was good served buffet style with the usual sausage, bacon, egg and some more local options.
There is a hotel bar and restaurant which we didn’t use much. The spa is complimentary for guest before 10:30am and includes pool, sauna and aromatherapy room.
Great value stay, I’d definitely consider revisiting in the future.
