Boutique sleep imbued with the romance of St. Petersburg, from its riverfront location to the artfully decorated rooms

The Lowdown

With the recent addition of a spa offering massages, this intimate, elegant hotel has added one more reason to pamper yourself. The grand architecture of the 1870 building, careful interior design (all the artwork is original and for sale), and location on the Fontanka embankment — one of the chic-est addresses in town — will already have you feeling like a titled Russian straight out of Anna Karenina. When you’re ready to step back into modern times, the restaurant serves pan-Asian specialties, there are laptops for use in the lounge, and the WiFi is free and fast.

In the Area

It’s just a 10-minute walk from Nevsky Prospect — the busy, beating heart of the city— but the Rossi feels like a peaceful oasis, thanks to its riverfront location on Fontanka canal, around the corner from beautiful Rossi street, which is said to have perfect proportions, and ten minutes’ walk from Triton restaurant, a foodie favorite. It’s a stone’s throw from the Alexandrinksky Theatre, ornate Kazan Cathedral, and the art-packed Russian Museum, but if you’re willing to walk, drive, or helicopter a bit further afield, the concierge can arrange for sightseeing trips including rooftop tours, helicopter rides, and ghost tours of Mystical Petersburg.

Great Hotel and Service
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Spent four nights at the Rossi in October 2018. Fabulous concierge and service throughout. Thanks to Evgenny who was an excellent ambassador for the hotel. Breakfast was exceptional as is the location. Only ten minutes to Nevsky Prospect and a great route to follow along the canal or past the theater.

Comfortable hotel in the historic building

The location of the hotel is perfect, it is right in the centre of the city. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is really friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is very various and tasty. I also recommend to find some time for visiting the spa. The guests can visit the aqua-zone free in the morning, but I do advise book a procedure - the specialists are really good, tactful and very attentive.
Staying in this hotel was real pleasure!

Fantastic hotel from every aspect.
We had an issue with our taxi on arrival the staff could not have been more helpful.
We were upgraded to a suite. The location was perfect within walking distance of all attractions.
We eat in the restaurant several times including breakfast and the food was top quality
If you are thinking of visiting St Petersburg you wont go wrong staying at the Rossi.

Lovely hotel with helpful friendly staff

Really enjoyed our stay here for my husband's 50th birthday, the staff at the hotel were friendly and efficient, one small gripe was there was a knock on our door at midnight which woke us up (they had got the wrong room)! these things happen I suppose ! Breakfast was plentiful of choice with the porridge staying in my memory as it was so delicious and just what we needed for a cold day in Russia visiting the sites ! We had a view of the fontanka river (well worth paying the extra for a deluxe room) mini bar was reasonably priced and the room was warm and spotlessly clean, would love to visit this hotel and St Petersburg again some day, we didn't use the spa or take advantage of the free massage on offer as we didn't have time.

Fantastic hotel

We stayed here as part of my partners 50th birthday and our engagement celebrations and we were blown away. The rooms are fantastic, the restaurant adjoining is beautiful and the menu excellant. The staff at the hotel are excellant and attentive and very good English speakers, nothing was too much trouble.the spa is well worth a visit and the choise of treatments is vast and very reasonably priced.the hotel is ideally located for most of the sights and within easy reach of the many canal tours on offer. The hotel concierge is more than helpful and is on hand for directions and suggestions.if you’re planning a trip to st petersburgh then look no further than this hotel as your base for your holiday !
