How to Get There
We stayed here a night on our way north with our 2 children. We were made to feel very relaxed and welcome. We had an excursion to Pink Beach which was such a treasure. Delicious food, fantastic views and attentive staff. Thank you.
We are holidaying in NZ from Australia and drove 50km to the Kauri Cliffs Golf Resort. When we arrived at the resort entrance, there was a locked gate and intercom. We were turned away because non staying or playing guests are not allowed access to the property, including the driving range and golf shop.
We spent 2 nights at Kauri Cliffs, but could have stayed forever. The room was beautiful -- loved the fireplace, especially at night with a glass of wine. You also get an amazing view of the ocean. The food was delicious; from the gourmet breakfast, to the wine/canapés, and finally ending with a delicious 3 course dinner. And the entire staff was so attentive. My husband also played golf and loved the course. But the highlight for both of us were the walks around the property to the exclusive, hidden beaches. We didn't see a single person the entire 2 days we were exploring the area. Do yourself a favor and visit this special, remote place in the world!
I’m not a golfer but if you are you will be in paradise. We stayed in Owners Cottage - I don’t think you could do any better. Infinity pool and jacuzzi overlooking the golf course and the bay. If you like to be spoiled that’s your place. You will get a golf cart or two so you don’t get too tired walking up to the lodge. Service is fantastic and that includes the food service at the lodge. Eggs and bacon for breakfast are hard to beat.
We didn't stay at the lodge, (have to save up for that experience) however, this review is for the Spa treatment at Roberston Lodge which l experienced, while my husband had an amazing experience with a round of golf at the Kauri Cliffs Golf Course.
The experience at the Spa was wonderful from the moment we arrived until we left the 2 girls looked after us and their genuine friendliness, attention to detail and professionalism was top class. We enjoyed a few hours at the spa which included our wonderful treatment and use of the wonderful facilities including a lap pool and spa area.
The Roberston Lodge Spa is nestled at the edge of a Totara forest and as soon as you enter the Spa you feel relaxed with beautiful ferns, trees and furnishing.
Let your husband play golf while you enjoy the spa.
As mentioned my husband had an amazing experience playing golf at Kauri Cliffs, from the wonderful course to the breathtaking views to the professional service and first class facilities you cant go wrong - worth saving up!
Don't rush your day, we arrived at 8 am and left around 4 pm, this included gold, spa, lunch t the 19th hole and a trip to visit the magical pink beach.
