Still fabulous
Joanne M

I visited several years ago and had a fabulous stay...would the Merchant still be as good. The answer is a resounding yes. The staff and service is exceptional. The hotel has retained its class and luxury. The Art Deco rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The beds gave a great nights sleep. The bathroom is also spacious with a separate bath and shower. The breakfast in the great room sets you up for the day. The bar also does great cocktails. I can’t wait to go back.

Possibly the most beautiful entrance to a hotel I’ve ever seen.

I can’t speak to the hotel itself but we came in for drinks and late appetizers in the side bar and the place is just amazing, goldleaf ceilings that are 40 feet high mash with very comfortable couches and a great cheese plate and wine selection, definitely something to at least see and check out for drinks or a meal if you’re not staying.

No high tea here ! Too late out off date
gdorm

I have never been so insulted by a hotel off this standard. Given a voucher for high tea for two last sept 2018. Only to find out it’s out of date.i called only to get teen and conditions read them told to me and duty manager hung up. Well merchant hotel is this the way your staff are trained. Your it’s the most expensive cup of tea one can buy with a few buns! So here I will leave it mr woolsey you must need it so you keep my few miserable pounds I’ll get a cup off tea elsewhere and leave your big monster hotel alone Belfast is a big city plenty more hotels we can use. Maybe if your duty manager had the decency to ask we could not use the voucher due to severe health problems but they are on hold like your voucher
