Nice hotel located Opp to messe cologne but with few awkward staff in the restaurent and reception
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Booked two rooms for single use via hotel.com for three nights with balcony and one room for two nights via booking.com without balcony.

The hotel is situated Opp to the messe hence we booked here as we were in FIBO trip. The hotel is super clean and all necessary amenities were provided except free water bottle, which we were surprised.

Toilet had all the amenities. Coffee tea maker and a kettle was provided. A chargeable minibar was available. Free WiFi with a decent speed. Bathroom was spacious. Rooms with balcony were very good, only issue we could not sit outside as there as no shade and it was drizzling most of the time.

We were highly disappointed with two issues.

One night we decided to have dinner from the restaurant and went at 0950pm, how ever the staff informed after five mts of us waiting, the restaurant is closed and have to order from the lobby cafe. We went to the cafe and it was like busy but not that much, we sat and waited for 15 mts no staff turned to us for our order. We called the staff, there were three female staff and nominees of them were bothered to attend us which made us very upset. The supervisor Ms. Erica and another staff Ms. Rosette were pretending as not seeing us even though they attended our next table and we called both of them a few times. Pathetic behavior. After nearly 15mts if useless wait, we went to the counter and asked Rosette to attend us, she came and gave us three menu card and then vanished. We again waited another 10mts and decided to take a cab and went to a restaurant outside, it was late so we had difficulties finding a place, however we found and had dinner from outside. Both staff purposefully didn’t attend us, may be we being Asians, pity mentality and this from a reputed hotel chain staff is unacceptable. We called these two staff many times still they were least bothered to attend shows their intentions. The next day when we asked Ms. Erica her name, she was asking for what and we mentioned to comment about something she was very curious to know what comment....

Another issue, one booking for two night was not prepaid and via booking.com was mentioned as Euro 746, however the reception staff charged 796 from my friend, even though he questioned the staff said that’s the amount and he had to wait so he paid full amount and evening (luggage was kept there) I asked the reception staff to clarify why he was charged more, the staff asked me to wait and took my cell no but didn’t call me back or update me even after two days. Surprised how the staff behave in Radisson Cologne.

Breakfast is always full and busy during the messe and there are very limited staff to attend the guest in the restaurant and tables are not cleaned on time and we never got coffee on our table. Unfortunately the hotel location is good and we have to stay here again or else we will never sue to the pathetic staff behavior.

I hope the management takes the above remarks positively and brief their staff or if not bothered then it’s fine as they will get business due to their location.

Home away from home

This recently renovated hotel was a lucky pick. Everything was amazing beginning with the no fuzz, no questions early check-in after a long flight and insane jet lag. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very beautiful and comfortable and the breakfast was very rich in selection and good. I would go there any time again!

Minibar

The check in was fine, easy and fast. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room had a good size.
The TV needs more Channels in English.
But what about the Minibar!!! What is that?👎🏼👎🏼 I think the room was not properly checked

It’s a perfect business hotel

Very professional, great food, great bathroom and bedroom, and the bed is very comfortable. The shower is super modern, the breakfast is great, the bar food is excellent, and the location to the main convention center is very optimal.

Great Location but Falls Short of Standards
Reviewed 2 months ago

I’ve stayed at Radisson Blu hotels all I’ve Europe and this one falls a little short. The rooms were not designed as well, were not as clean, nor was the food or service as good as other Radissons in my opinion. We stayed in the city view suite. The view of the Dom were good but soon a new building will block the view. The location is great in relation to the city and there was a tram stop within a couple minutes walk making it easy to get downtown. If you want to adventure further you can walk across the bridge to the Dom in 15 minutes. I hope the hotel staff and management will improve the overall guest experience to ensure guests get the five star Radisson experience that we are accustomed to at other Europe Radissons.
