How to Get There
This hotel is located in downtown Charlotte right off of Interstate 77. This hotel features a pool, wonderful fitness center, and great views if you are located on one of the high floors. The staff was very helpful and informative during my stay. If you are driving to the hotel the parking garage is located right beside the hotel and the hotel also offer valet parking. All in all I definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning on going to the Charlotte area.
When I walked into the Westin I was tired from a long trip. I was greeted by Rob and he made me feel at home instantly with his charming personality and knowledge of area elevated my guest experience. Told me of the art exhibits that was happening around the city and directed me to some good food as well! The room was clean and up to the Westin standard that is always so high. Overall Rob really made my stay in charolotte that much better the Westin should be lucky to have a guy like that on their desk.
The worst hotel parking experience of my life. Spent 2 hours at an event and an hour trying to get out of the parking garage.
This should be illegal. Go at your own peril. Or take a cab.
To add insult to injury my three hour stay including one hour trapped in the parking deck resulted in a $26 parking fee.
This hotel has an electric tram stop on the second floor. Easy to use and pay station is there on the platform. The hotel is just across the street from the Charlotte Convention Center and is an easy walk. Clean and comfortable rooms and nice restaurants/bars in the lobby area for BLD.
Just been to conference at the Westin in Charlotte and it was such a poor experience.
The room was grubby , filthy carpets that had not even been vacuumed - dead bugs lying around. The bathroom had hair from the previous occupants, all the surfaces looked dirty and the part of the floor that was tiled was sticky. After I complained, the housekeeping manager promised to personally oversee the cleaning the next day - its was just as bad.
Food at the conference was not great and the service staff seemed to be in a permanent bad mood.
Only good thing about this hotel was the bed - which was extremely comfortable.
