Wonderful place to stay in Chapel Hill

Were there for our son's grad school graduation. Loved Franklin Street restaurants, close to UNC. Staff was accommodating...Alfonso was a hoot! Room was super spacious, quality linens. Appreciated the fruit infused water and cookies in the lobby!

Great Stay

Everything from check in to check out....and everything in between exceeded my expectations. Checked in early with no problem, upgraded to 2 Queen beds and parking was the easiest of any hotel I have ever stayed at.

Perfect location, beautiful hotel

Parking is easy. Staff are wonderful. rooms are clean and it is quiet. I always stay at The Franklin when I am in the area because of the service and ease of stay and I am a UNC alum and love to run around campus and Franklin Street when I am there. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby as well.

Charming !!

My daughter and I recently visited UNC for a campus tour. We checked into Franklin hotel late and were greeted by a lovely receptionist and a charming lobby. It’s historic and everything about this hotel was perfect. The bed, super-soft sheets, towels, tempuredic and down pillows. I slept so well (even through a storm) We had a balcony overlooking Chapel Hill on the 5th floor. The room was very quiet. We loved the simple breakfast sandwiches, fruit and coffee. They offered a shuttle to UNC campus and back , which was wonderful .
Lastly, I had left my electric Phillips toothbrush in the hotel room and they mailed it back to me.
The kindness of the staff , and quality of the room were just what we wanted. The hotel is situated in the heart of the town, walking distance to food, shops and campus. We would definitely stay there again.

Great location to visit UNC-Chapel Hill

The convenience of the shuttle service was an added bonus in visiting UNC-Chapel Hill. As an alumni I felt that the customer service was excellent. Louise, in particular, took the time to recall and pronounce my name. The rooms were clean. The view was just ok.
