Stay in an historic inn
Reviewed 5 days ago

There is charm in staying in an old, historic inn. And there have been some upgrades. But we were a bit disappointed in the skimpy cleaning service of our room (there was supposed to be turn-down service, the bathtub drain was not cleaned and a burned out light bulb was not replaced). It was obviously short-staffed too, probably because it was after Christmas and the weather was poor. But waiting for a good 5 mins. before someone showed up at the front desk is not cool. Breakfast was fine and the tavern was good, but the formal restaurant was out of commission all weekend long.

Great stay in Blowing Rock!
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We were at the charming Green Park Inn for New Year's and enjoyed it very much.
Very welcoming and professional staff, good full breakfast included in rate and
very spacious rooms although a bit dated. Loved the piano player in the lobby (nice touch!) and the inn has an excellent location.....strongly recommend it!

Beautiful Historic Hotel with Friendly Staff
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This was our 3rd stay this year in this beautiful hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast, which is included with the room price, is from a menu and delicious. The staff has always been friendly- last time I left a phone charger and it was immediately mailed to me (I'm sorry that I don't remember the gentleman's name who helped me, but he gave great customer service!)! We love the piano player, Mr. Ellis, and enjoy relaxing in the lobby while listening to him in the evening- he is quite talented and amiable- sometimes his friends join him on guitars- and all are fantastic! Additionally, the hotel is a very short drive to the shops and restaurants in downtown Blowing Rock, and to the historic site and legend of the Blowing Rock for which the town is named. Thanks again for a wonderful visit!

Lovely Hotel, but Avoid Weddings
Reviewed 1 month ago

We found the Green Park Inn charming. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Our room, while dated and worn, was plenty big and comfortable. We had a meal at the hotel and it was delicious. Unfortunately we were there when there was a wedding. During the wedding was fine, but after the wedding was difficult. The bride was drunk and running up and down the hall yelling at people. Guests (children I think) would knock on our door and run away. We were up all night with the drunken antics. It was too bad. This is a lovely place just avoid when weddings are there.

Nice Stay in a Historic Hotel
Reviewed 1 month ago

We enjoyed our stay at the Inn last week. The room and bath were small but expected for a historic hotel. Ceiling fan in the room was a nice touch as well as the flat screen TV. The rate was great for the Blowing Rock area and included breakfast. Drinks and appetizers at the bar were very good as was the full breakfast. Piano player in the lobby was also a nice touch.
We hope to return to the Inn again next year.
