Historic and Charming
Reviewed 19 hours ago

Visited for an overnight and truly enjoyed the historic charm and hospitality of this great hotel. The front desk was a delight, the classy bar, wonderful dinner at the Chestnut Grille, and full sit down breakfast were all great. It was fun and relaxing to play music trivia with Charlie, the sliver haired gent in a tux, playing the grand piano on Saturday night. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed a chance to slow down and step back in time imagining what it was like staying there 100 years ago. We will definitely be back!

Several problems but a beautiful place
Reviewed 1 week ago

We had a couple of issues with our stay but also some good things however; we won’t be back. The first room we were in smelled of sewage. And the shower head was so short that it would probably only accommodate a person that is 4 feet tall. We asked to move rooms and moved to a nice room with a nice bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The tv’s need to be updated and a mini refrigerator would be nice too. I love and appreciate the history behind this place and the fact that things are still historical and “aged” in a tasteful way. The breakfast was great although I did find a hair in my eggs. But I didn’t complain because things happen. The servers were very nice. I have celiac disease and cannot have gluten so they were very accommodating and I appreciated that. My final problem which is the reason that we will not be back is due to theft. And I do not deal with that well, especially being a retired police officer. I left behind a nice phone charger and plug with multiple plugs/adapters and also a nice sweater in the room. I called 5 hours after we left and told the employee exactly where I left the items and that I would pay to have it shipped back to me. They told me they would call if they found it. No phone call. I called 2 more times and they claimed they never found it!! Incorrect! Someone found it and took it!!! And that is stealing and completely unacceptable! The third time that I called and told the employee this, I was told that I would receive a phone call from a manager to discuss this. No phone call!!! Overall the stay was disappointing with a couple of good things mixed in. Won’t be back.

Amazing romantic getaway

This was our second time staying at The Green Park Inn. Beautiful historic hotel with so much to offer. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The restaurant serves an amazing breakfast. The piano at night on the weekends brings an incredible feel to the place. We had a LOVELY time and hope to return again soon!

Beautiful hotel, all staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Great location just minutes from Boone.
My room was clean and the bathroom was larger than expected.
Breakfast was truly one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had.
Overall it was a great experience and I’d be happy to return in the future.

First time

My wife and I stayed here after finding the inn online. We stayed 3 nights in Feb. 2019. I loved this old place, your mind and soul went back in time. We loved the Divide Bar and the Restaurant. Staff was great and helpful. We relaxed and enjoyed Charlie playing the piano and telling stories. The room was large, king bed and nice bathroom. You felt at peace and the cracking sound of the old wood floors, beautiful molding. Will be back again.
