How to Get There
We stayed in the Timberlake Inn portion and loved the ambiance as well as the individual attention of the innkeeper. Great experience even though the room is showing its age. Footstool was fraying; chair fabric discolored on arms from many years of use. Did not enjoy the queen size bed either. Hope the renovation brings king size! The nearby pantry was enjoyable, snacked on ice cream and liked the selection of coffee. Friends thoroughly enjoyed the cheese and wine social in the evenings.
All 4 of us had a wonderful massage. Very talented staff.
Also enjoyed the breakfast buffet; nicely done!
It's been more than ten years since my wife and I spent some wonderful days in this beautiful place.
For that reason we decided to come back hoping to find the charm of this place.
In effect the place maintains its same atmosphere that has characterized it, for many years, but it is noticed that recently the services have not been updated, the rooms are dark, with furniture that needs renovation, the restaurant that is supposed to be of great quality, has old furniture, there are no tablecloths, and lack quality in the attention.
The Place is unique, and although it is increasingly surrounded by the city, they have managed to keep it isolated with its characteristics of a farm in the mountains of the early 20th century, however it is sad to see the lack of maintenance and updating of the premises .
We stayed in Cumberland 3 which was a great unit. The water pressure wasn't perfect, but the unit is spacious and clean. It is a bit of a hike to the front part of the resort to use the amenities which isn't great in the cooler months because you need to drive. The jacuzzi was very clean, but the sauna was anything but quiet and relaxing with the ping pong table right outside of it. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The nightly bonfires were also a treat.
