Rats in the alley
Reviewed 5 days ago

The hotel is nice but our room looked onto a back alley that was infested with huge rats that constantly would run from trash can to trash can. It was unnerving and really ruined the stay. We said something to the receptionist at the desk and he agreed that it was disgusting and added that he had to go by there each day when parking. He did say our room had film over the windows so that you couldn’t see out but it had just been removed because it was peeling.

Fantastic Hotel

This is quite possibly my favorite hotel ever! From the lobby, the room, the bathroom, the coffee, the location, the hallways! I was thrilled from the moment we walked in the door. Such a different experience than a chain hotel. The staff was warm and welcoming and clearly, every person who works there takes pride in the hotel. Yes, it is that kind of place. We will definitely stay there again. You cannot beat the location for downtown Asheville.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Asheville!!!

We had 2 rooms for the weekend for a girl's getaway weekend to watch the Fed Cup tennis tournament in Asheville. Most everything at the Windsor exceeded our expectations. The parking is a little tricky but very manageable. We pulled up on the street and the staff unloaded our car and brought our bags to our rooms. We parked at the AC Marriott deck very close by for $15 per day. We never needed our cars again so for us this was very easy. They also loaded our car when we left at the end of our stay. The lobby is decorated beautifully and very artsy and fun to explore. They provide cold drinks, water, coffee, snacks, etc. throughout the day for guests. Our rooms were very nice and we loved the decor. The only drawback was that the pull out couches were not comfortable at all for 2 people as they had promised so next time we will book a room with 2 beds! It was so nice having an area to hang out in and a very nice kitchen. The shower pressure was great and the bathrooms were beautiful. We were able to walk to everything and explore downtown. There is a delicious restaurant right next door for breakfast. Go early and put your name in and head back to your room to wait for a table as they will text you when your table is ready. We will definitely be back and are so happy we found this beautiful, cozy, quiet hotel.
