How to Get There
Wonderful stay! Absolutely beautiful mansion and beautiful views. The owners serve you a delicious breakfast in the morning and they are so welcoming and great to talk to. We had so much fun! We can’t wait to go back.
This year we decided to go away for a long weekend for our anniversary. We live only an hour and a half from Asheville and wanted to have a special dinner in one of our favorite restaurants near Asheville.
Instead of just driving there and back, we decided it would be nice to stay in the area a few days to admire the Blue Ridge Parkway fall colors and Biltmore Christmas decorations. While looking for places, I discovered The Reynolds Mansion. The reviews for it were all very positive, and we love historical bed and breakfasts. We booked a two-night stay and discovered we found this wonderful place with a staff that raises experience to the highest level.
From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left we felt at home with Billy and the rest of the wonderful staff there. We had amazing breakfasts, lovely sunset views, great nights, helpful assistance, very good dining recommendations. On top of that we heard the nicest stories and history lessons about the mansion and the surrounding area. Just taking in all the history and artwork will cover several more visits. Oh, did I mention the amazing breakfasts?
Definitely recommend The Reynolds Mansion if you're in the Asheville area. It exceeded the expectations that were set by the perfect reviews.
Hands-down the best B&B we have ever stayed in! The old mansion home has been lovingly restored and is decorated to perfection fitting with the historic nature of the place, whisking you back in time. Each room is unique. We stayed in one of the three rooms above the carriage house, which was just steps from the main house. The room was huge, tastefully decorated, and we enjoyed the fireplace on a couple of cool nights. The grounds are filled with flowers and plants, and well-tended. Breakfast is served at 9:00 and was a highlight of our trip. The food was fantastic and beautifully plated. Sandy greeted us when we arrived, showed us our room, and was helpful and a delight to talk to. Billy, the owner, was warm and welcoming, and was helpful with recommendations and suggestions for things to do and places to go. His love of his B&B was evident from the time we checked in, to the morning breakfasts where he always had time to share the history and stories of the Reynolds Mansion. We cannot wait to go back!
We stayed in the carriage house and still felt a part of the Reynolds Mansion historical experience. The mansion, grounds and location are phenomenal. The breakfast menu was different each day as was the table setting in the dining room... had to be the best [gourmet] breakfast we have ever enjoyed! (Billy's baked pears - heaven!). Billy made us feel like part of his family of guests... no question was without a thoughtful answer . . and the breakfast banter was fun! Sandy was like finding a long lost friend.... do not consider staying anywhere else!
Just returned from a visit to Asheville and stayed at the Reynolds Mansion for 4 nights. To say it was an outstanding experience is an understatement. This is where you need to stay and have Billie show you the southern hospitality! The breakfast were just out of this world along with Billie's morning history lessons. I was born in Asheville and did not know the information Billie shared.
The location is the best for easy access to daily excursions. Look no further and book this B&B for your visit to Asheville!
