How to Get There
We really enjoyed our 4 day stay Asheville, so ripe with lots of things to see and do. Our apartment, 313, was very spacious and comfortable. Our only drawbacks related to things we asked to get done and weren't even getting a feeble excuse they thought we were checking out on our first morning. Just check your records. The towels weren't changed either. The apartments are fully equipped and the kitchen has most of what you need though only the barest amount of dishes, utensils etc. The apartments are a short distance from the Biltmore village and the Biltmore itself. Stores and eateries abound here. It also, is a short drive into downtown attractions.
We originally booked a two night stay but extended it to 4 nights since we were enjoying the area. The amenities were very good and the staff were very helpful also. It was a little rainy one day so we enjoyed going to the village and walking around and taking in the sights. We would come back and stay here again.
Having never been to Asheville, we were pleasantly surprised to find our condo was within walking distance to wonderful stores, easy to reach via car and extremely comfortable. We had a full, large kitchen, kind size wonderful bed and a large bathroom with great shower. The office staff were very helpful with restaurant recommendations.
When we arrived at the Biltmore it was late. We were all tired and ready to go to bed. I went inside to check in and the clerk was on the phone he didn't look up. I stood there until he was finished he finally said "may I help you". The check in went smooth and he gave me my room keys and our room number. I asked how to get there because it was dark and it was my first time in Asheville and at this resort. He stated to make 2 quick rights and our bldg. was the 3rd one on the right, I got in the car made two quick rights and drove to the 3rd building on the right since it was dark and the lighting wasn't very good I could not actually tell which building was the 3rd building they all looked connected. I started reading the numbers on the buildings but again the lighting was not good and we could not see the numbers on the building. After about 10 minutes getting in and out of the car running up and down stairs looking for the room number we drove back around to check in. I explained to him that we could not find the room and did gave me a better description of where the room was and we were able to find the room. Once inside the room it was very nice and clean, we had a 2 bedroom condo that sleeps 6. My sister came along to help with the children she shared the room with my youngest son, and my other 2 boys slept on the let out couch. My boys took a bath in the big jacuzzi tub and watched a little TV and were fast too sleep. My one concern about the room my middle son is Autistic and my younger son is 6 and there were no child safety locks on the balcony doors. They were both able to unlock the balcony doors and go outside. I hope they look into getting better lighting and better signage in order to find your room safely when it is dark outside. We enjoyed our one night stay and will definitely stay there again if we are in the area.
Location is ideal for getting around town and the Biltmore attractions. We were on the 2nd floor and found it quite and peaceful throughout our stay of 3 days. The electric-fire place was unique and very enjoyable in the evenings. The kitchen was very well appointed, however we did not use it. The bathroom facilities were quite accommodating with a large shower. These accommodations would be ideal for an extended stay in the Asheville area.
