My husband and I came here for Valentine’s Day and had an incredible time. All of the food and drinks we had on property could not have been better, the service was excellent, the spa was magnificent, and our room was comfortable and we slept well. Can’t wait to come back!
We come twice a year every year. We love the Vanderbilt wing and Edison’s and then wandering downtown. But sometimes we just go with the club floor and lounge there and in the spa our entire trip. The hotel and surroundings are beautiful!
The Grove Park Inn is a very nice hotel but not a great value for the money. The room was fine but the bed was soft in the middle and the noise from the hall was intrusive. We went to the spa nice but not spectacular. It was very loud in the main pools area, the eucalyptus and other scents were very strong. The Vue 1913 restaurant was good with a great view at sunset. The steak was underdone but the food was good. As stated, the biggest problem is the value. The room was $400 per night plus a $25 daily resort charge (use of phone, internet, in room coffee, newspaper access) plus $15 self parking per night ($22 valet). I realize it is exclusive and at these prices, it will remain that way.
Wish I had been able to enjoy the ambiance of the hotel more. It was lovely. The only frustration was it was very difficult to find the rooms of the conference and the elevators. I recommend better signage. The spa is reported to be top notch, but not available when I was available. It is very expensive, to my taste.
This is a beautiful property. The rooms are a bit dated but the rest of the hotel is gorgeous. The staff is excellent as well. The restaurants are also very good. If you work out the gym is also very nice. Grab a drink and enjoy it by the fire place in the lobby.
I have no issue recommending this hotel.
