Wonderful hotel for weekend in Asheville!
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I highly recommend this hotel. It was very clean, modern, and is within walking distance to most downtown Asheville activities. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and made us feel very welcome! The room was really interesting... in a good way! Modern but not too modern. The bathroom was spotless and the bed was comfy! I recommend this hotel for sure and would stay there again.

Good place to stay for a weekend in Asheville

My husband and I only stayed one night, but thought Hotel Indigo was fine. We were greeted by friendly and helpful valet staff when we arrived, which was nice because we didn't have to worry about finding a parking spot, and were instead able to get checked in right away. Also, our room was ready early, so that was nice, too. Not much of a view, but the location of the hotel was great for getting to and from the downtown area by foot. We liked the refreshing variation of furniture and decor in the room, and the shower was awesome! Was good for one night, but would have been a bit pricey for us to stay any longer. Also, was taken aback that breakfast was not included with the room. They had a nice cafe, but it was all extra!

Water fall trip and nature visit.

Indigo has a great location.

The Indigo is a very nice hotel within walking distance to downtown restaurants and very close to the Asheville Tourist Center. The cafe on the first floor serves a good breakfast and basic cafe eats. Breakfast is not included with your stay. The cafe is not open all the time so please make sure to check operating hours. No matter, there are so many good places to walk to within a 10 minute time frame. One of our favorite places to go to is the Chestnut. For some fun go to the Pinball Museum just down the street.

The hotel has a good gym with 24 hours access. Valet parking will cost you around $18 bucks or you can park yourself but still incur a daily parking fee. The valet parking team was always on the ball and gave us great tips on local places to dine. The staff and service is great. Mark at the front desk is a big asset to this property, he has great customer service skills.

I would fully recommend to book one of the great suites on the upper floors with beautiful views and spacious floor plans. Our rooms have always been clean and well maintained. This last visit my wife dropped a glass tea bottle on the hard floor. After we called down to the front desk a pleasant staff member from housekeeping arrived within minutes and took great care to pick up all the glass, vacuum and mop the floors. This kind of care and attention to detail was part of our entire stay at indigo and appreciated.

overpriced and on the outskirts of downtown

I stayed here for a weekend night. The room was over $500 by the time all the fees were added in. The room was just a room; not anything special to justify the ridiculous price. My room was on the seventh floor and I could still hear the interstate below. The Indigo is technically in downtown Asheville but it is on the very edge. You have to walk quite a bit to get to any of the restaurants, bars or shops. The hotel does not offer a shuttle. Have stayed next door and they do offer a shuttle for their guests. I did have breakfast downstairs and it was excellent and the waitress was helpful and pleasant.

Great place to stay

The view of downtown was great. I also appreciated a wooden floor, it felt cleaner. I hate walking on carpet not knowing when it was last shampooed. I also enjoyed the concierge staff This is not the place to go if you have children or if your looking for perks like a hot ( or any ) breakfast. There is a lovely restaurant but you will pay extra, it is not included in the cost. Nothing extra is included in the cost, food, parking etc.
