How to Get There
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay at the Inner Banks Inn. The Inn is very charming and our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfasts served at The Table restaurant offered a great selection of choices and were absolutely delicious as was our dinner. The staff was wonderful .. extremely efficient, cheerful, and personable .. simply amazing!
We have made many trips through Edenton on our way to OBX, but never stopped.
The Inn was a great stop on the road back home. People running the Inn were very friendly and we felt very comfortable during our overnight. We stayed in a suite in the main house. Bed was very comfortable and the room did not have an "old" feel to it. Ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and give the food/service the highest rating. This is a great place to stop if you need to be in Edenton.
Our daughter was married in an intimate ceremony in the historic Chowan County Courthouse, and our entire wedding group stayed in the Inner Banks Inn. We booked 18 rooms in the main inn, the Pack House, the Satterfield House, and the Tillie Bond cottage. It was PERFECT! Bride readied in the Satterfield House which also served as honeymoon cottage afterwards. The rooms in the main inn were extra large, comfortable and beautifully appointed. Pack House was likewise completely lovely and charming and provided the ideal gathering spot after our delicious wedding dinner at The Table. The entire IBI staff outdid themselves taking care of us -- I particularly want to praise Terrek (spelling?) and Tessa and Wanda and Kat for their outstanding hospitality. No one could have done more to make us feel special and celebrated. Bonus for us: cherry blossoms and dogwoods were in bloom! The grounds were especially lovely! It is a very nice inn, and the room rate we were charged, though highish per night, was appropriate for the occasion and the value was high. Also, the delicious breakfast served to us in The Table restaurant was included. Because they are historic homes, most of the buildings are not ADA accessible, but the Tillie Bond cottage was accessible and was a perfect accommodation for the 86 year old grandfather of the groom.
We had family come in for mother's birthday weekend and we stayed at "The Pack". We had 6 of there 8 rooms. The house was very charming and comfortable for the family. We had time to sit, talk, and play games in the common area. From the front porch to the inside of the house you just felt like you were home. The breakfast was delicious! There were 12 of us for dinner Saturday night at The Table. I believe everyone enjoyed the food that was ordered. We had a delicious and beautiful cake delivered to the Inn.
The entire 3 day weekend was wonderful and what a cute little town.
We stayed at the "Pack House' - previously a tobacco packing building. A very charming house, full of characters. Excellent decor. Oh, breakfast was great too. The location is great - close to downtown, but not too close. Easy to find. Beautiful gardens too.
