Perfect beach hideaway!

Such a dreamy location! Went for a girls trip (there were 9 of us!) and still felt like I had so much space to myself (for that essential introvert self-care). Between the beachfront treehouse, the saltwater pool/jacuzzi, the rooftop fire pit, or one of many balconies, patios, and lounge areas, there are so many spots to chill by yourself or gather with friends, whatever your mood. And I'm so excited for when the additional poolside bungalows will be finished (since we will obviously be returning). The decor is exactly what you want your Mexican vacation villa to be: charming/decadent/rustic with modern amenities (very Instagram-able, for those that care). It's close enough to town that I did a daily taco run for lunch and brought everything back still warm, but far enough to pretend that you own your own island. There are a bunch of cutie restaurants popping up within walking distance, though. Definitely take advantage of one of the many wine shops in town (we found one that is in a cute trailer with outdoor seating, but I cannot find the name of it to save my life) and grab a bottle so you can drink it while sitting on the beach, watching the sunset. If you want to be a bit more adventurous, Todos Santos is like 15 minutes from Pescadero, where you can surf at Cerritos beach (you could surf at the beach by the villa, and I did see people doing it, but it's not for beginners). There's also ATV tours and such nearby. Also, Todos Santos forms a triangle with Cabo and La Paz. Both of which are about 1hr+ away. I did a day trip to La Paz to swim with sea lions and whale sharks (back in April). A sea lion literally grabbed my flipper to start playing with it and I got to pet one on the belly! La Paz also has Balandra Beach, which is totally gorgeous and great for kayaking (remember to pack a cooler of food/drinks and bring an umbrella/blanket/chairs since they don't have rentals there. Except for kayaks.). Another fab day trip, but super glad that I could return to Todos Santos which feels more cozy and friendly (this was my second trip to Baja Sur and I'm still happy with my decision to be based in Todos Santos and take day trips from there). All in all, just a really awesome vacation spot!

A perfect villa!

Where to start... I genuinely loved my entire experience at Villa Santa Cruz! From the friendly hosts and staff to the beautifully kept property, this place is a dream! Some of the key highlights- there is a view of the ocean from every room in the house (including some of the bathtubs!!!), there is a beach palapa with hammocks for times where you want to be outside but already have a sunburn ;), the hot tub is HUGE so no need for the awkward waiting until the other people leave dilemma, the pool is beautiful, the beds are very comfortable. The property is just a quick drive from the cute town of Todos Santos but feels so secluded, so you get convenience without having to sacrifice privacy. The beach is free of tourists and locals selling things. Did I mention the most beautiful sunsets?!? I could go on... but just go ahead and check it out for yourself! I highly recommend spending time here! My only regret is leaving ;)

Amazing Location & Experience!

Villa Santa Cruz exceeded our expectations. It's in the perfect location - far enough away from town that you feel secluded and peaceful, yet close enough that it's super convenient to drive into town for restaurants, shopping, groceries, etc. The views from the rooftop and palapa are incredible and perfect for reading or watching the sunrise/sunset. The pool and jacuzzi were perfect with plenty of spots for lounging/tanning, along with plenty of umbrellas if you prefer the shade - or just hang out by the swim up bar and drink all the margaritas. :) The owners are the friendliest and always available to answer questions, give recommendations and the place is spotless thanks to the cleaning crew that comes each morning. We truly had zero complaints the entire time we spent there and can't wait to go back to stay again!

We rented the entire villa for a girls trip in October. The villa is absolute paradise and the owners are wonderful!
We comfortably fit 9 of us in the house. We spent the majority of our trip at the pool and the palapa on the beach. The pool area is large with plenty of top of line lounge chairs, a build-in swim up bar, and a very big hot tub. The palapa is heaven on earth. It has even more lounge chairs on the beach, hammocks, and the top of the palapa is a fantastic oasis to whale watch or during the sunset.

We're already starting to plan a trip to come back!

Incredible Wedding/Event Venue!

Our July, 2018 destination wedding at Villa Santa Cruz was truly amazing. This is a fairytale dream wedding site and the owners and coordinators, Jessica and Matt, are simply outstanding. We rented the Villa and Casa Tres Palmas for 4 nights and filled the two houses with our family and closest friends. A few folks stayed in lovely hotels around Todos Santos for a total of 30 wedding guests. This was a perfect number of people for us to host, and while the Villa could certainly accommodate a larger party, we loved the intimacy and ability to really spend quality time with all of our people. We had someone come in to cook us breakfasts and dinners at the Villa, endless pool time in the best pool on earth (the groom even guest-bartended at the swim-up pool bar on Sunday!). Walks on the deserted beach, naps in the pagoda, singalongs around the rooftop firepit, and beach bonfire time under the stars. Everything was so well constructed and orchestrated we could hardly believe it. The weather was perfect every day, getting just hot enough for us to take shelter in the shade or the water, and of course drink more margaritas. Matt has built a truly outstanding inn and grounds, which stands alone seemingly at the end of the road, but still a short distance from town, giving serenity and privacy, but is also a fantastic place to have an incredible party! The staff at Villa Santa Cruz keep the grounds immaculate and the Villa house is cleaned spotlessly every day. There are gas lamps and candles to light in the evening for a magical atmosphere, and the roof can open to the stars and bathe the interior of the Villa in the moonlight.

Jessica is the best wedding coordinator you could imagine. She is supportive, professional, extremely communicative, and she covers every detail. Our wedding day was perfectly executed and exactly as we imagined it for the 6 months leading up. We wanted to use all local Baja vendors, and every single one that Jessica suggested was above and beyond professional and brilliant. Our vendors were so welcoming, and they bent over backwards to make our celebrations seamless. Our Spanish language skills are not as good as they should be, and we found that everyone supporting us spoke much better English than we did Spanish. Also, the beautiful people and culture of Mexico really love weddings and this adds a special element to the event. We also had so much fun shopping for party favors and cake toppers in lovely downtown Todos Santos, and everyone we met along the way wished us well.

We suggest booking the Villa for as many days as you can before and after the celebrations. We wanted to serve all local Baja wines and of course tequila, so we did our shopping in Cabo and Todos Santos in the days before the wedding, and then we were ready to relax with our guests by the time they arrived. It was also really lovely to have a few days at this little bit of paradise to unwind after the events. Nobody wanted to leave at the end, and many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to, from the location, to the facilities, to the caterer. They all want to come for an anniversary reunion next year!
