How to Get There
Loved, loved staying here! I came here for my sister's bachelorette and we were blown away at how amazing this resort was. We did have a minor mishap upon check-in because, for some reason, the hotel did not have all of our guests' names, but it turns out it was because it was booked through a third party website (there was some sort of glitch or error or something) and all the manager had to do was look us up in the system. Make sure to print out your confirmation email before coming and perhaps call both the third party website and the hotel to make sure there aren't any issues before you check in. Again, it was a minor mishap but did delay our check in. Anyway, onto the good stuff! The suites we stayed in were gorgeous, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed. There is wi-fi at most areas of the resort, including the beach. However, I did notice that certain parts of the rooms would have poorer/slower connection to the wi-fi, but that's a minor gripe. The food was excellent and the all-inclusive package was totally worth it. I would highly recommend doing the all-inclusive package if you're staying here - hassle-free and convenient. The fitness center was also lovely, and felt like it had what I needed to get a good work out in between all the food we were eating! We also used the spa, which was on the pricier side, but if you book a suite they do include 1 complimentary spa treatment. The Swedish massage was excellent. Also, definitely go to the spa before your appointment time (I believe an hour beforehand) so you can use the amenities inside the spa (jacuzzi, steam room). The beach and poolside areas were a dream. Plenty of areas to lounge around. The pool concierges Esbai Vazquez and Ricardo (did not catch his last name) were AWESOME! We loved them. They were so nice, attentive, helpful, and made our stay even more enjoyable. They were very patient with us, especially since there were seven of us! Thank you so much, Esbai and Ricardo. I really cannot recommend this resort enough. This was my first time in this part of Mexico and I would definitely go back again in the future. It's a safe, clean, and fun resort to stay at.
From start to finish everything was pretty much a relaxing experience.
Starting with the reservations: the person who I spoke to over the phone (and I recommend you call rather than do it online, as I got a better deal) spoke very good English and went over everything in detail for our one bedroom suite booking. We also recommend utilizing their airport transfer service. This is essential! Do NOT try to wing it on your own to get there, as you could get ripped off and not taken to the hotel. It was $30. for the roughly 25 minute ride for 2 of us. added to the hotel bill, no money involved, just a nice tip of course. and hassle free. we were given exact info on who would be meeting us outside of immigration and then again after baggage claim and customs, down to the clothing and IDs they were wearing, with our names on a sign. It was seamless, they even provide a drawing of departure area and where to walk thru. Upon departure from the hotel after your visit you can request a taxi, where there are plenty nearby. that is perfectly safe
Upon arrival, the check-in was seamless and quite individual. No standing in a line at a counter. Friendly, efficient, with sparkling wine and a hand massage (if you want one, its free, just a little tip).
We stayed here once before many years before with friends, who we met this time as well.
We stayed in a one bedroom suite, which was spacious with super clean everything. one day I had an issue with the washer/dryer, which, wasn't working. But, a maintenance worker came right up to fix it. FIY: the circuit breaker for it is in the pantry right next to it. easy fix.
There is no turndown service. However, if you ask, you can probably get it. Maid service was spotty here and there. for instance, outdoor table where we dined, wasn't cleaned of crumbs and my husband made repeated requests for shampoo. But, overall everything was very clean and they provide ample towels, etc. I had requested a pad for the bed at the advisement of our friends who stay there regularly. The bed was very comfortable and we slept soundly every night, as it was quiet as well.
The pool area was lovely. It was a bit busy during that time with families, though. first week of April not a good idea if you don't want children around you. The pool attendants were great though, especially Gabriel.. with our friends, there were 5 of us so he set up 5 chairs for us daily, when I would see him. I didnt' like that we had to do that, but, it was busy the first couple of days and as big as the pool area was, we wanted to secure a spot for us all.
The staff couldn't have been nicer, from the pool staff, to the waiters in La Parrilla and La Casona (separate reiview) the 2 restaurants on site. We had an all inclusive so we could have used the sister resort next door. If you stay at the sister resort you cannot use the facilities here. Both restaurants were great! We enjoyed lunch most days at the poolside La Parrilla, La Casona was EXCELLENT for dinner and the service was the same. Breakfast there was also spot on. Room service was included in our AI package. We like to enjoy breakfast on the balcony some days. this is where they need to improve. Some days it was an hour before the food arrived, cold mostly, with coffee served in 2 paper cups, plastic creamers, rather than regular mugs and a proper pot of coffee and a glass container with milk or cream, no salt or pepper, no butter or jam, etc., as if it was a takeout order delivered like you get at home.
Location: beautiful beach and view. Can't beat it!
Amenities: Gym, spa, concierge, etc. FYI: there are massage huts on the beach, which, my friends and I used. We got great massages for $20. However, on a past visit I did use the hotels spa, which, is awesome.
overall, definitely a good value. We plan to return. The security is very good as well. There is a strict accounting of people leaving the hotel and returning, they will ask name and room number, departing the hotel and returning. I recommend going into Buceria, the local town for lunch, dinner and shopping as it is worth it.
I just recently traveled to Puerto Vallarta and stayed at the Villa La Estancia and had a fantastic time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our 3 bedroom suite was stunning! The pool staff was so wonderful and Esbai Vasquez was very accommodating! All the pool staff was really helpful and they set up our chairs every morning with flowers! The food was so yummy and I never felt sick. The security there was great and we always felt safe! Shout out to Alejandro who was top notch and always made sure we were okay.
I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel.
This was a great resort with great service!! We had a great time and can’t wait to come back!! The rooms are very spacious and they kept the drinks coming. The beach and pool were fun to hang out in...
This is our vacation destination whenever we get away. It's beautiful, the staff are amazing! So friendly, so nice and they always have a smile on their faces. The villas are upscale, the food and amenities are ample and delicious.
This is a dream vacation spot!
