How to Get There
Really confortable rooms. The wifi is very fast and was great for my needs. The best part of this hotel for me is the breakfast, it is very diversy. I really consider hygine an important topic, and the rooms and bathroom are very clean.
Pleasant hotel in a convenient area. Rooms are small. The staff were super helpful. The heating in the room was broken with was not so great, but they gave us a heater. Try guided tours that reception can arrange for you.
I will begin my review by saying the only good thing about this hotel was its location. Also, in advance, I do NOT accept any fake apologies from management following my review, because they had opportunity to apologize by actions, not insincere words.
I recently stayed at the NH Reforma in Mexico city from December 8 through December 23, with my family. We reserved a Premium Terrace room, but after a few days were move to room 1101, due to renovations on the third floor. The room we were given was a lesser room, and not the Terrace room we had reserved. It was a balcony with a bare 3 foot ledge, vs a large terrace with table and chairs. In fact, when making our reservations back in September, the reason we chose this hotel over others was because of the terrace room. We had other problems during our stay, too. First, even though we reserved the room for 3 adults (Father, mother, and son), we were constantly given only 2 bath towels daily. Every day we would have to call down to front desk and even spoke to customer relations desk in lobby, but we still get only 2 towels unless we put a daily note on desk for housekeeping to put 3 towels. Second, the shower was so badly constructed that water would run out onto floor, even with door closed all the way. And finally, there was the dust from renovation on the 11th floor that we had to contend with daily. Normally hotels put on their websites if they are undergoing renovations, so I find this unacceptable added to the fact that we did not get our promised terrace room.
Before doing a review, I gave management a chance to respond, because that is only fair. They responded to my December 26 email on February 9th. Their response was they considered a balcony room the same thing as a terrace, which it is not. Again, a 3 foot ledge vs. a large terrace with table and chairs. So, make of that what you will. Also, they gave me what I felt were insincere apologies. Insincere, because I stopped at desk multiple times to ask them to resolve issue with housekeeping, I called multiple times, and I spoke with one customer relations lady at her desk. If one is really sincere they would have resolved issue. For staying 15 nights, they could have given even one free night for all the inconvenience of having to move, and to a lesser room at that.
Again, location is good, but really weigh your options, and make sure you get what you paid for and don’t get ripped off like we did.
Is very comfortable and clean all rooms, the breakfast is very good, all time have fruit and juice. in the reception all peopleo is very frendly and is veri fast the check in and check out, the ubication is good.
We got the suite, high floor with balcony and were very pleased
Excellent shower and wc with separate vanity and sink area, very spacious
Overall very spacious
The location was excellent
We were a large group of large guys so we did UberXL most of the time if we had a further journey
The tour bus (open top) company is right beside the hotel, very convenient
We went cheap on the hotel for this trip and were pleasantly surprised with our room, the cleanliness, and housekeeping quality for the price-and the location!
Could be better:
The staff, aside from booking car service for excursions, were lacking
Concierge was hardly there and we had one request that they never followed up on
I’ve lived in CDMX and this is not the hospitality standard I know it strives for
The breakfast buffet was good in a pinch, but frankly there are better restaurants nearby
We went cheap on this trip and we got what we paid for as far as service
