As mountain bases go, this lodge outside of Banff fits the bill, bringing a contemporary cabin style to spacious one-, two- and three-bedroom suites. Everything you need for comfortable living is here: gas fireplaces, fully equipped kitchens, 42-inch flatscreen TVs and private decks with gas BBQs. After a day hiking the stunning Canadian Rockies or shredding powder in the world-famous Lake Louise ski area, enjoy a dip in the heated outdoor pool and steamy hot tubs.
In the Area
This stretch of the Canadian Rockies is known for superior powder, and three top-notch resorts are located within Banff National Park: Mt. Norquay, Lake Louise Ski Area and Sunshine Village. Between the three resorts there’s almost 8,000 acres of skiable terrain and mountain peaks that are so epic the United Nations has declared the area a World Heritage site. Best of all, this northern latitude rocks one of the longest ski seasons in North America, from mid-November until late May. Come summer, the resort puts you within striking distance of a handful of great golf courses, including Stewart Creek Golf & Country Club, Silvertip Golf Resort, Canmore Golf and Curling Club and Banff Springs Golf Club.
How to Get There
This hotel was perfect for our 5 person family. Beautiful rooms, quiet, clean. We loved out door pool and hot tub, also enjoyed renting board games from front desk. Could use new fold out couch beds..maybe even two single beds in the den instead of couch bed.
Nice condo but over priced.couldnt use hot tub or swimming as it was so cold and it ya outside.
The restaurant is over priced.
The table in the condo was painted over and you couldn’t really play cards bc the cards would stick.
We went for our anniversary and as usual we’re very happy with our stay. Clean spacious rooms. Our go to place when we come to Canmore. Lots to do and see in the area. Secure heated underground parking is great in the winter.
This hotel was great. Rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. I would have given this hotel a 5 but the pool and hot tub were broken when we were there. This was one of the top reasons I chose this hotel. They did offer vouchers for the rec centre in town but I was specifically looking for an outdoor pool/tub. And for a one night visit that was a hassle.
We were waiting for the Nordic spa to open, so we went into the lobby bar at the hotel. They treated us like absolute gold. They went above and beyond to get us a liquor for a shot, and tracked down wine from a different restaurant. They were great! Thanks to the lobby bar for being so great to this waiting stagette!
