We arrived at the hotel after flying into New Jersey and got a train to World Trade Center Station, about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. We were in room 608 from which we had fantastic views of the WTC and across the Manhatten skyline.

The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious as was our bathroom. The location is superb. Just 5 minutes walk to the 9/11 memorial and museum and pretty handy for Battery Park, the Staten Island Ferry and Brooklyn Bridge

Throughout the day there was complimentary coffee, chilled soft drinks, fruit, energy bars as well as nuts and other snacks. Between 5 and 6 pm each evening there was complimentary wine

With one exception all the staff we met, and there were many, did a great job and were helpful and friendly. Andrew who looked after reception and the wine was superb

The hotel has a bar and restaurant, partly open air, on the 20th floor and this was a great place to enjoy a drink and the night views across Mahatten

Quite why I have no idea but one member of staff in the restaurant, a guy with glasses, chose to be grumpy and rude. Maybe he was having a bad day but his attitude and approach was the opposite of everyone else on the staff

This did not spoil our visit but we did not go back to the bar

Perfectly placed for downtown sightseeing

Perfect location! 10min walk to Statue of Liberty boats, 2min walk to 9/11 memorial and museum, 5min walk to charging bull. We walked over the Brooklyn Bridge to DUMBO for sunset one evening and then got the ferry back to Wall Street. Everything around that area is walkable. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. Happy hr is a welcome surprise as are the snacks and drinks that are available 24/7. Even though they don’t ‘do’ breakfast there are hot drinks, fruit and granola bars available in the lounge. I would defiantly stay here again.

Great value for the money. Property was right next to World Trade Center and other areas to visit. View from the terrace is truly breath taking. Rooms and property were very clean. Dinner at Mortons Steakhouse right next to the hotel was outstanding.

Didn't get room I booked
Reviewed 6 days ago

I booked a Superior Queen room with Kitchenette. The description says Queen bed with a sofa bed. When I arrived they gave me a room with Queen bed and a chair. No sofa bed. I asked to have the room I booked. They gave me a bigger room with a Queen bed with a chair that folded out to a bed. Again, no sofa bed. I just took it at that point, embarrassed and confused why I kept getting the wrong room. I still don't know why. I never would of booked a room with a chair that pulled out. I don't know if they actually have rooms with a sofa bed, but be aware of that when you book. It's all moot at this point and the weekend turned out okay. I just don't like booking a room and not receiving it, and not getting a reason why. I won't be going back.

Stunning views

This hotel has location, location, location. The staff is extremely friendly, and the hotel offers some unique mini experience enhancers (filtered water bottles, fruit and snacks, a sun terrace with a great view that you can sit and enjoy, guest request closets with extras). I did not find the room to be too small, which surprised me for NY. I had a balcony room, which was incredible!

I ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast because of the views. Breakfast was great. Dinner was average but not incredibly expensive.

The bed left a little to be desired (cheap, low and old). I went to the guest closet for additional pillows, but there was nothing in the closet but sugar. I wasn't too interested in asking for more, so that's on me I suppose.

My room did not appear dirty, but the shower had been slightly stained over the years. The carpet in the lobby was stained, but nothing appeared "dirty" so to speak.

Overall, the views, upgrades and staff outweighed any negatives.
