Great location in Times square. Hotel is very clean and amazing staff. The hotel bar is great for a quick drink. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Everything is within walking distance. Subway station right out the door.

4 nights at the Westin

I was struggling between giving this hotel 4 or 5 stars but in the end decided to go with 5 due to the overwhelmingly great front desk customer service. I had to check in super early and was granted a room at 9.30 am...even though their policy states check in is at 3 pm. Super appreciated!! the room was clean, spacious (for NYC standards) and showed some NYC skyline, which I had requested. it was near the elevator though, so there were moments were there was some noise ( I had asked for a quiet room) but not too bad. The room was well appointed...Tv was good size and worked great, lots of mirrors (although a magnifying mirror in the bathroom would have been nice)...safe, closet...all the usual hotel amenities. the fridge could've used some milk in it instead of only water and alcohol and fruit juice options...this way i might have actually used their coffee maker (or they could've at least provided some creamer and sugar). the shower was great! rain shower and hand held shower! lots of hot water and good water pressure! everything worked well but the toilet did do this weird thing where it would splash water on the ground every time you'd flush (which was fixed after i mentioned it to the front desk). The nicest thing they did was to grant me a 3.00 pm late late check out after i threw out my back on the last day of my stay and asked for one...this was very considerate and is not usual in NYC. overall i have to say, i've stayed at most hotels in this area and found the westin one of my favorite ones so far for the price. There's always room to improve but i think they are on the right path and try super hard to make their customers happy...what more can you ask for?! I would definitely stay there again.

Getting frustrated with the Marriott chains and loyalty program
Reviewed 4 days ago

Agree with other reviewers that I found hairs in my shower.

Had a 2pm check out but key stopped working at noon, had to wait 15min for someone to come let me in despite calling multiple times, getting hung up on once, and promise that ‘someone is on the way’, all making me late returning to the conference I was attending in the hotel.

The bed and pillows are comfortable but not as ‘heavenly’ as when this program was rolled out as a Westin differentiator.

This location doesn’t have a lounge and didn’t grant my platinum benefits while the status was being rectified despite a call from corporate to the evening manager.

Would NOT stay here again. Better options in NYC, and getting ambivalent on the Marriott loyalty program since they’ve merged and become Bonvoy...they might lose this platinum traveler to a competitor.

ummm.. was disappointed but great location

Great hotel experience

Westin New York is a beautiful hotel just a short distance from Times Square and the theater. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel and room was clean and welcoming. Our stay included the continental breakfast which consisted of a few varieties of cold cereal, muffins and toast. Not much to sustain you but for an added 9.00 you could add the "hot" portion of breakfast. The hot breakfast included yogurts, eggs, potatoes, and lots of fruit. It was well worth the added expense. We were pleased with our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again.
