How to Get There
Third time to visit. This hotel is a great spot.
Close to Times Square, yet on a quiet street away from the madness! Central Park is a ten minute walk away.
The restaurant next door was closed, but, there are lots of places around for food.
The rooms here a really nice, quite spacious (although ours was the smallest one we’ve had since we’ve been staying here), the staff are really nice. Breakfast is fine, it’s included in the price which is quite a saving in NYC. Some nice fresh bagels, fruits, hard boiled eggs and a great display of pastries and yogurts.
The coffee is not so great! The snack bar is open 24 hours and is free and there is a wine and cheese reception everyday.
The rates can be quite expensive by comparison to other hotels, but, the Pearl is boutique and personal. It’s worth it.
That said in July we could have had a one room suite at Fitzpatrick’s on Lexington for the same price as our room in the Pearl. The fact we went for the Pearl again will tell you everything you need to know.
Superb hotel, great rooms, brilliant staff.
We picked the Pearl last minute after being let down by the Manhattan at Times Square. Before booking we spoke to the receptionist who showed us the room we’d be staying in and gave us a free upgrade. He was so helpful and very understanding. Unfortunately I didn’t catch his name.
The location is fantastic, just off Times Square, within walking distance to everything.
The hotel serves breakfast 7-10, it’s a basic selection of bagels/bread and pastries but it was nice enough. They also do a wine and cheese tasting from 4-5pm which is a nice added touch.
The room was great. Good size for New York, and very contemporary. Air con worked a treat but was also nice and quiet. The bedding and towels had a nice feel to them. Everything about the room makes you not want to leave it!
The hotels checkout time is 12pm which was really helpful.
The staff were really friendly throughout the stay, everyone we passed would say hello. Rooms were cleaned daily to a good standard.
I would 100% recommend the Pearl and I’d definitely stay here again.
Location - great. But really quiet as well.
Decor - nice. Rooms clean and good size
Breakfast buffet - good choice and quality
Staff - excellent.
This definitely will be my go-to hotel choice in NYC now.
Last minute booking and was a little nervous as never stayed here before. A great surprise, The rooms we had were of a very high standard, bath, shower, coffee machine, microwave and lovely toiletries. Was a little surprised to find there was no bar but the cheese and wine hour was great as a meeting point for our group. Free tea and coffee throughout the day and breakfast offered everything we needed. Would stay here again.
After reviewing so many hotels in Manhattan, we decided on the Pearl. The staff is excellent. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. Happy hour @ 4pm, what a nice touch! Breakfast was plentiful. Overall a perfect stay!
