Visit with grandson again
Reviewed 5 days ago

As always ; wanted to stay with them but being valentine weekend; rates were very high. Again their staff was most accommodating and tried their best to give better price to us being repeat guests. It was still bit pricey for us being from Canada. Jon suggested I talk to Lisa who is in charge of customers relations department. She was off for the weekend but still messaged us back and arranged for us to check in at an even lower rate. Really appreciated their gesture for being so customer service oriented for accommodating our request. Front desk, housekeeping and all the other staff members including Hamid who we met for the first time were extremely helpful, pleasant and professional. As always had wonderful memories of visit with our son, daughter- in- law and our precious grandson

We booked the 3 bedroom apartment which also has 3 bathrooms which was a bonus. There is a decent kitchen with cooker, microwave, coffee maker etc and separate washing machine and dryer. The kitchen is open to the sitting area which had a 3 seater sofa, arm chair, dining table and 5 chairs. The apartment has lots of windows so is very light. There are also very efficient heaters in each room which I assume would also cool. We were on the 28th floor but despite that, the road noise was significant as the windows did not fit well. As many reviews mentioned, the condition of the apartment is a little bashed and bruised but it was very clean and the housekeeping tidied the room daily. The apartment is situated right next door to the Q line subway which originates from here and is an express service meaning you can access Timea Square in 15 minutes and Brooklyn in 30 minutes. There are also multiple restaurants in the area, some of which I have reviewed separately. I would not hesitate to stay there again as it was great value for money but recommend ear plugs!

Family (Sisters) Reunion

We splurged on a three bedroom suite for our stay in New York city. Not inexpensive, but perfectly suited our needs. Staff was excellent in terms of helping with logistics, recommendations and services. We were even given use of a wheelchair for our 95 year old aunt. The suite was spacious - especially for New York city. The rooms were a little dated - but fine overall. For our needs, the location was perfect. Would we stay again at the Marmara - yes!
