Great mid-town stay!

We stayed here for three nights and had a great time. As all of the reviewers have stated, it's the best location for sightseeing. . The room was very comfortable and spacious by NY standards. We would absolutely stay here again.

Second Stay as good as my first

Really liked this hotel a few years ago as the location next to Rockefeller Center is PRIME and again this time it did not disappoint. Coffee and computers along with newspapers on the second floor are simply outstanding. Excellent bed and shower plus a nice view of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree just outside my room. Easy check in / out - just no way I'll stay anywhere else on my next visit to NY. Rockettes Christmas Show just right down the street blew me away too !

Wouldn't stay here again

The room was very small, cramped and had poor lighting. I had one of the "better" rooms with a balcony. Overall the room seemed very tired and dark. The bedding seemed very outdated and not the best quality. Several of the surfaces were dusty including the drinking glasses in the bathroom. I had issues with the heat not working, instead of it being repaired they brought me a portable heater. On my last morning I asked for a wakeup call which never came. The coffee supply in the room was lame! Only one K-cup of a very weak blend.Other then these negatives I must say the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Christmas In New York

The Jewel was accommodating to all our needs. Storing luggage before check in and the day of check out. Would have liked a bar in the hotel but one a couple doors down is available. If you want to be in walking distance of all the things you want to see in New York at Christmas make your reservation.

Friendly staff, perfect location

Wonderful location right on the square, looking right at the tree!
Nice friendly staff, good rooms.
Be clear -- dining, including breakfast, is in their sister hotel (Club Quarters, at the Terrace Club) which is three doors up (1 minute walk). We ate there for breakfast - good food, very capable staff (Leonardo and the great lady on the omelette station). Dinner is a bit of a crapshoot because the "Club" is often closed for private functions.
