This hotel is a great location. Although the lobby is modern the floors and rooms are a bit dated. We stayed 9n floor 40. Great views. The room was clean but needs updating in my opinion. The carpet didn't get vacuumed whilst we were there. We did walk in in the cleaner watching TV so that probably had something to do with it. Even with this issue, I would still recommend staying here just for the location alone.

Great welcome after the frightening experience of radio city apartments -staff here are friendly polite and met all our expectations great service thank you for a great stay -cleanliness good but staff won the top price !!

We picked up family from JFK and rented 2 rooms for a total of 7 people (2 queen beds each room).
The location was good.
We got a city view with a peek-a-boo view of Times Square.
The rooms were outdated and definitely need to be steam cleaned and freshened up.
The quilt was thin, sheets were average-the pillows were thin from heavy use (which was a little unnerving).
The fan in the bathroom didn’t work, and there was a hole around the plumbing in the shower (no cover, no visible attempt repair it).
There is an optional buffet breakfast which equates to 25.00 person; the staff working the buffet were responsive and helpful, there was a variety of food including fresh fruit, 2 types of eggs, French toast, a variety of pastries, toast, bagels, and yogurt (with toppings). It’s a convenient breakfast if you’re in a hurry traveling, but if you have time to explore there are a variety of options within a couple blocks.
I gave it a 2 star rating because the convenience of the location to Times Square and Broadway venues did not overshadow the overall poor quality of the rooms and bathrooms, honestly we’ve stayed in cheaper places in the same area, with cleaner better quality rooms.

Devoid of any charm

The Millenium Times Square has one, and only one, redeeming feature - its location - otherwise I find it difficult to write anything remotely positive about it.

The entrance lobby looks interestingly art deco, but the desk service and lifts are achingly slow.

At first glance, my room seemed fine - clean, light and quiet. And then I searched for some water. None. OK, a coffee, tea, hot water? Not a chance. A snack would do. Nothing. Minibar? You're kidding. Even the fridge had been surgically removed.

In the morning I headed to the gym: average equipment, some of it not fully functioning. Water? Where has it all gone? Towels? Nothing. Headphones. No way.

Breakfast? No menu service available, a very mediocre buffet and staff squabbling with each other.

My overall impression was that Ryanair had taken over a perfectly decent hotel and stripped it bear of all amenities, leaving it as a charmless shell.

Decent stay

Booked a Times Sq view so we were on floor 51.

The room was a good size and the bathroom was good for NYC standards. The place is clean however a refurb is needed as the room was looking a bit tired. This isn’t a cheap hotel so a refurb should definitely be happening.

They are working on the lifts but be aware they are a nightmare if you are on a high floor. At times it’s as if there’s only one working and you can be stopping at every floor on the way down.

The bed was great, linen soft and plenty of towels. They give you free bottle water every day and the coffee machine in the room is decent.

The checkout time is early at 11am compared to other hotels.

The location is great. You are a 2 minute walk to Times Sq.

They have a shop open to 2am which is handy.

All in all in would come back. (But needs a refurb)
