How to Get There
We have just returned from a 4 night stay and we had a lovely time. Only really interacted with the reception team but they were always friendly and had some great tips. Room was good size, you can hear road noise but that’s to be expected in New York. Asked for a room away from the lift which was granted and we didn’t hear anything from other guests. Bed was the highlight, so comfy. Bathroom good size. Everything we needed for our four night stay. Perfect location near to Penn station and for exploring the whole of New York. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
Stayed here on a business trip over New Years. Friendly staff, clean rooms. We were given a room right in front of the elevator so we asked to move as we could hear it constantly. They moved us to the next room, we were now behind the elevator. There’s no escaping the noise as the hotel is very narrow and they only have 5 rooms on each floor I think. That’s why I gave it 4*.
However housekeeping were great, the manager was very nice and the receptionists gave us lots of tips of tourist things to do. We asked for the gym equipment to be taken out as the rooms are small and they take up room, perhaps moving forward based on reviews as well they could ask guests prior to arriving if they would like the equipment. As with suitcases there is hardly any floor space left to walk around with the ball in the room.
We got a glass of champagne on NYE which was great after getting soaked walking back to the hotel on a rainy NYE.
Our clothes were soaked and had nowhere to dry them and as we were checking out next day the mgr took them into the dryer himself - thank you!
Would actually stay here again!
We loved the EVEN Hotel, Times Square South. Rooms so modern, clean, with our own in-room gym. Bathroom spotless and included a selection of really nice shampoos, shower gels, etc. The bed was really comfy, and room had all mod cons. The staff were so friendly and could not help us enough. Food delicious...try the pizza. We will be back.
First time staying at Even hotel and we loved it!!
Staff was very kind, room was clean, the location was excellent.
It was nice to have exercise ball, yoga mat and block. I actually used them to stretch out every night and felt good after all day of walking in the city.
Complementary reusable water bottle was nice little touch. We filled up the infused water in the lobby and didn't have to buy water bottles and made less waste of plastic.
I will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.
The Even Hotel has a nice location just a couple of blocks away from Penn Station. It's a relatively small hotel, with about 8 rooms per floor. The gimmick here is exercise (not a bad gimmick). There is a big stability ball in the room, and yoga mat, block, etc. Several channels of the cable TV show 15 or 10 minute exercise routines. It's also fairly quiet, if you are in the back of the building. The decor is simple, but attractive: rustic wood paneling on the walls of the room. The room size itself in not large, but that's typical for NYC. A small cafe in the basement.
