Friendly staff, great location
Reviewed 2 days ago

The staff couldn't have been nicer to my 6 year-old son! The bed was comfy. The bathroom was quite small, but it was clean. The hotel is within easy walking distance to and from Penn Station/MSG
, and subways. My only complaint is that the carpet had a couple of skeevy stains on it. I should mention we stayed during a midsummer power outage and were extremely relieved that this hotel was NOT affected--hooray for steady lights and AC on a hot summer night!

Horrible room service and room service staff
Reviewed 2 days ago

Room service staff were extremely unprofessional on the phone and actually hung up on us. Tray from our Room service wasn't picked up the entire time we were there. We used the laundry service and was overcharged. Thankfully the front desk woman Brittany was great. The room itself was small given the price per night.

NYC weekend
Reviewed 3 days ago

We visited NYC and were very happy with our stay at the Double Tree Chelsea for 3 nights in June 2019. Mom and 2 adult daughters.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The beds were excellent quality, providing. a great sleep. The bathroom had good quality fixtures, and the shower worked great!
There are many complaints about the elevators, we stayed on the 21st floor, the hotel was very busy, and we never had any issues. The light on the elevator showed what floor and direction it was travelling.
Always greeted upon entering the hotel by the staff, and a dispenser of fruit infused water. This was a treat after exploring the city in the June heat. Our stay was during the parade, which kept the street busy with the floats.
The staff at the hotel were excellent! Everyone we encountered was welcoming and pleasant. We stayed for 3 nights, and our flights left the city late at night, and they were very helpful as we stayed around the hotel area until departure time. All of the friendly faces at the hotel welcomed us very warmly.
I was happy to be able to leave a few parade giveaways for the staff, and they were very thankful! Thank you for making our trip so special!

Very rude and bad attitude front desk
Reviewed 6 days ago

I haven’t even started my stay and I received a very rude response from the Front Desk (Brittany McQuiller) only because I asked for an early check-in. That’s fine if no possible but doesn’t matter the subject. Customers should be treated ALWAYS with respect. Bad experience so far.

DoubleTree in Chelsea

Location was good, walking distance to many attractions. It was actually quiet at night, away from main avenues. Breakfast was good, room was actually slightly bigger than expected as many reviews mentioned the room was too small.
