Great location
Reviewed 4 days ago

The Doubletree is located near Madison Square Gardens and Times Square (both a short walk). The rooms are super clean, albeit super small (although I'm told that's a normal size for NYCity). The beds were super comfortable! There is a great bagel shop just a short walk called Friedmans that is highly recommended too. We would definitely stay here again because of the ease to everything that is fun to see in NY. The valet service was super easy both with checking in and out!

Better places with valet
Reviewed 5 days ago

The penthouse is the only reason to stay, and it’s only that because of the balcony and the slightly larger room. I hate that there’s no valet here and there’s no water every 2 mins so good luck with that. They seemed unphased when I reported it so I guess it’s normal. I wouldn’t stay here if it wasn’t for the 2701 room.

Not the freshest looking but good hotel
Reviewed 5 days ago

I prefer the Double Tree Metropolitan compared to this one, as the overall perception is not very fresh and modern. The elevators are old such as most of the building interiors. Besides this, the hotel is very strategically situated in mid town. The staff is friendly and all Double Tree by Hilton comfort is present.
The bar isn’t very cozy but it does the job, just as the breakfast room.
It’s an ok hotel.

The Best Hotel I've stayed at in a long time.

Loved this Doubletree! The staff was exceptional. Our flight arrived early in the morning well before check in time. The front desk held our bags and called me when my rooms were ready a couple hours ahead of check in time. My kids went to the front desk multiple times for warm cookies. They were all so courtesy and friendly during a busy Thanksgiving holiday.

AMAZING Staff, Excellent Location

I was really pleasantly surprised by my stay here. The rate was affordable, especially around Thanksgiving. It’s in a really good location, which you can see from looking at a map, but it doesn’t quite sink in how great a location it is until you’re there and walking it.

The hotel is dog friendly and the per stay fee is $50. PER STAY! What a bargain! There’s also a park across the street that makes for a great spot to walk your pet if you’re traveling together.

The rooms are dated, but very clean and efficient. The mirror in my room’s bathroom badly needed to be replaced, but that’s really my only complaint... which isn’t really a complaint, more an observation. The bed and pillows are like clouds. Thoroughly enjoyed sinking into it every night. I was right by the elevator, but had no issue with noise.

I’ve saved the best for last... the staff at this hotel. ALL of the staff, every single shift, were INCREDIBLE. They are so kind and friendly without being overbearing. It was truly a joy to interact with them. They were absolutely wonderful and I really can’t say enough nice things about them!

I would definitely stay here again, primarily because of the service I received.
