No to Doubletree Hotel Chelsea

I am a loyal Hilton Honors Member, but I will not be choosing the Chelsea again...just a few of the issues I had on my last stay...
Room: I was not provided the room I checked into and I was not offered an upgrade even after asking for it although a team-member that checked in less than 20 minutes later was given an option of an upgrade...we are both Diamond members.
Bed: The fitted bed sheet was torn. I did call and ask for it to be replaced, but this was not addressed and changed until the next day.
Heating: The heating did not stay on and I had to ask twice for someone to take a look at the system. On the second request, someone did come up and explained that the wall mount did not function properly and that we needed to turn it up past 80 degrees for it to stay on and heat the room properly and that the was aware of the issue and that they need to change the devices.
Bathroom: The light in the bathroom would not stay on the first day of arrival. I called and they assured that someone would come up to correct the issue. I had to call down again on the second day before someone would come up to take a look. They did "fix" it while I was gone and left what looked like dust or particles in the sink after they removed the light fixture.
The lobby was often dirty and the linens were always out front of the hotel which you need to walk by every time you enter the building. It felt dirty and unkept.
As a loyal Hilton Honors member, I was extremely disappointed in this hotel and will not be staying there again on future visits.

Doubletree Chelsea is a great location off the loud 7th. Avenue in NYC. Minimum noise as it sits in the middle of 6th and 7th with great access to many nearby subways. I would definitely stay here again. No issues recommending this clean hotel to NYC travelers.

Great location and affordable.

I rarely write reviews but I wanted to give a shout out to the staff at the Double Tree hotel in Chelsea, NYC. Every staff member I came across was helpful and courteous. Though the room was small - typical in Manhattan - it was clean and well cared for. The location of the hotel was perfect. We were able to walk to many great restaurants and shops. Very happy with our visit and would definitely stay here again.

Great experience

I came to NYC for a job interview. I chose this hotel for its price on the weekend I was there as well as its proximity to Penn Station (I took Amtrak). It was in a great location, easy to use as a home base while in town for my interview.
