Bartenders and hostess highlight of hotel

Carmenza and Janell #1 hands down are the best. I was freezing when I got there and Carmenza went the extra mile to find out temp outside and speak to someone regarding temp inside. As I sat there she saw guest who had been there before remembered what they drank as well as personal info. Janell's friendly demeanor speaks for its self, she can go anywhere with me and be good. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to what is going on in Manhattan and surrounding areas. The energy they gave off helped dissolve any negative thoughts I had after dealing with a particular young lady at the front desk. Hilton hit a home run having these two on their team.

Location was excellent. 8 blocks from Times Square; 3 from Madison Square Garden; 3 from subway entrance; 4 from High Line walk. Traveled with a friend (both of us female) and we felt extremely safe at all times. Staff was fantastic with both advice and friendliness. Rooms were very clean and bathroom was quite spacious. Tons of restaurants very near by. Would highly recommend!

Appalling Reception, decent stay.

Between the 2 staff we spoke to on arrival, they were ignorant, sarcastic and totally unhelpful. This made the whole stay a little uncomfortable when passing through the small foyer. The room itself was compact for 4 people, and the stench outside the hotel made it unpleasant to walk in and out, but it was well-placed for a short stay in midtown Manhattan. Will look at alternatives before considering this Hilton again. This experience is now becoming more familiar to us in Hiltons on both sides of the Atlantic.
