Not quite Times Square, Party Hotel
Reviewed 2 days ago

Location - This hotel is about 2-blocks from Times Square. It sits next to a parole office. The street appears safe but does not feel safe.

Service - Front desk is polite and welcoming. It does get backed up during check-in/out time. I did have to call the front desk 2 times in 6-hours because there were other guests not adhering to the non-smoking policy of the hotel. The ventilation was pumping in Marijuana smoke into our room.

Room - Relatively small, but common for NYC. Clean and well kept.

Other info - There is a club on the roof and it gets hectic with party goers wandering around the lobby. The security on the ground floor is non-existent.

Couples weekend that went wrong.

There was major construction in front of the hotel so there was no where to park to check in or check out. There was also window washing being done at the time of our stay and no one from the staff had notified us. My fiancé was nude at the time when the windows were open

Great location

I stayed here to attend various business functions and the location was very convenient. The only downsides were the amount of construction (either repairing and replacing of water pipes) and associated noise on 36th Street.

The hotel is an easy walk from the Port Authority and even easier walk from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I was lucky to receive a room upgrade on the top floor, view a view of the Hudson River. Although my room was a little small, it was fine for my 2 night stay.

Breakfast selections were just ok, more in line with a Hampton Inn, but the staff was very helpful. There are plenty of ethnic restaurants and delis within a 1 to 2 block walk from the hotel.

I would definitely return to this hotel.

Great location and staff!

You cannot beat the location of this hotel. We knew we wanted to walk to all the attractions we were interested in seeing during our stay.
Our room had two double beds and had more than enough room for us and our belongings. Remember - you are in mid-town NYC. Real estate is at a premium. No need to complain about a small room! Bathroom was updated and very clean.
We were greeted warmly by all staff (cleaning, maintenance, restaurant, front desk, door man) and I would not hesitate to stay here again on a return trip to NYC.

Quick visit, moderate hotel

Great front desk staff. Small rooms, but adequate bathroom space. Teeny, tiny elevators (only two) and we played human Tetris with each descent. The hotel is within three blocks of Penn Station and the subway. It is an easy walk to the theatre district and Times Square. The buffet is small, but you get plenty to eat if you chose to have breakfast at the hotel.
