How to Get There
I travel to NYC once a year for the holiday time. This was the first time I stayed at this particular hotel due to it is located close to almost everything. This was a mom-daughter (teen) trip. The employees at the hotel went over and beyond the limits to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Adam is the best. He helped us with directions, car service, etc. He was there everyday with a smile no matter what time it was. He always had a warm cookie waiting. Thank you Adam!!! Alejandro was exceptional as well. I walked in with a cold (weather was 27 degrees) coffee and he immediately took it to go warm it up. Without question! I will make this my go to hotel when I am in the city. Holton should be proud to have this location as part of their family! The customer service should set the bar for all Hilton hotels. And Adam should be holding that bar for everyone!
Don’t order room service or “optional omelette s” as the cooked food was either raw the lunch burger was burned and the dinner chicken smelled and the mashed potatoes were stone cold. Too few elevators that are too small and tied up constantly with housekeeping staff. Took 16 minutes to get one to 26th floor.
We arrived early and the hotel held our bags while we began exploring the city. We returned around 4, and were able to check in. We stayed on the 11th floor and had no issues with noise. We were on the back side of the hotel. There is a lot of construction going on at the front side. Our room was clean and on the small side, not uncommon in New York. We had free breakfast each morning and very good free WiFi. There are only two elevators, housekeeping uses them also. One was not working much of the time. I would stay here again.
No hot water, morning or night - waited a long time to get barely lukewarm water. Broken safe. Poor internet connectivity. Absolutely not a good idea for business. Many very good choices nearby as alternatives. Does not live up to Hilton name. Over $500 a night at this time.

I'm a business traveller and have stayed in my fair share of bad hotels. When I say this hotel is The. Worst. Hotel. Ever. I really mean it. I have stayed in hundreds if not thousands of hotels in my time, so I have a large sample size. Here are some of the details:
I checked in back in January and immediately went to the weight room to get a work out in. The weight room was dirty, but worse it was downright dangerous. The weight machine clips had broken some time in the past, and the maintenance solution to this was to use carabiners plainly labelled for 150 lbs max (the machine could hold well over that). The carabiners were also broken.
After the gym I went back into the room and got ready to take a nap. Upon removing the comforter I was confronted with the nastiest bedding I have ever seen. There were small brown spots and large yellow stains all over the bed. I tore off the pillow cases, large yellow stains. I went into the bathroom to wash my hands only to have the sink fixtures come apart as I used them. I know what you're saying, you could have switched rooms.
When I switched rooms I found the second to be even worse. Large yellow stains on the bedding, massive brown and yellow stains on the pillows, and the wall lamp fell over when I tried to turn it on. At this point, I wanted out of this hotel as it was clear it was no good and wasnt going to get better. The hotel manager and staff we're incredibly professional, very appologetic, and nice. However, they were completely unwilling to do anything as my travel coordinator had booked at a third party site. I get that you can't do much when that happens, but it's still your hotel that is a filth pit.
Hilton corporate sent me a $100 gift card for use at Hilton properties only. Thanks, but I'm going to stick with your competitor as often as I can. It also bears mentioning that I had to go looking for hotels in NYC at 11 PM when room 2 turned out worse. Hilton corporate would not help out by rebooking me at another Hilton property across the street and insisted I pay the substantial difference in price. This is why I am lifetime platinum with their competition and not Hilton.
I award this hotel zero points, and may God have mercy on it's soul.
