How to Get There
An incredible hotel with views from the rooms to dream of; our upper floor room gave us sight of the narrow band of rain forest and the dazzling sands and blue sea of the Ocean. The rooms are beautifully furnished in a beach friendly style. On arrival you get a great bowl of fruits and a bottle of fizz (prosecco rather than the champagne variety!). The rooms are kept in impeccable order by friendly staff who do all to make you comfortable. Breakfast is served a la carte and we had fresh (really fresh|) juices, fruit with yoghurt and bacon and eggs piping hot and perfect in every way. The beach is beautiful and you can walk along it for miles. Sad to go and will definitely return!
This wonderful hotel was the highlight of our tour of Australia! Right by Cabarita Beach but set in tropical gardens it is wonderfully picturesque and exquisitely conceived and designed. We had a stunning suite with an enormous terrace overlooking the ocean and the pool. The décor was wonderful and the room had everything we could need. Unusually on our trip the room was serviced twice a day. As for the staff, every one of them was delightful. Friendly, helpful and smiley. The barista made the most wonderful and unusual cocktails and the breakfast menu was really unusual but utterly delicious. I highly recommend this hotel, it's paradise!
We had already a hotel booked but got this place as a recommendation for Lunch or at least a drink. So we went there and were warmly welcomed and of course, we can join for Lunch! So we did and the menu was so good that we had at the end 5 dishes as we couldn't decide. Very nice and attending staff and a must for a short visit even if you don't stay in the hotel.
This accom is so beautiful, the in room decor is absolutely gorgeous, very chilled and ‘beachy’ as is the vibe of the whole property. The food and service is truly top notch, there is nothing the staff will not do to ensure your stay is what you are seeking. Cabarita Beach is amazing day or night for swimming, walking, boogie-boarding. The shopping and dining in the local area is a little limited but the buzz of Byron is easily accessible. Marty’s at Caba make a delish pizza and have some live music to take in. Highly recommend Halcyon, perfect “escape” destination!
Beautiful venue - though the restaurant is getting a bit tired and could do with a refresh to keep it looking up to scratch, Good service - (not as good as it was originally though), . Two and three course menus are slightly overpriced although the snacks and lunch specials were well priced and a good selection. Both dishes that we had (prawn dish and fish with salsa) were excellent!
Overall a lovely experience and still the best restaurant on the Tweed Coast.
It's our favourite "go to" place to dine......
