How to Get There
Hotel Santa Fe Hacienda & Spa is an amazing hotel. The Amaya Restaurant is relaxing with an outstanding first class menu, chef and wait staff. the hotel accommondations top notch. the rooms are relaxing and very comfortable. the hotel lobby and bar are a nice touch with an amazing fireplace to enjoy a glass of wine and great food. My hotel of choice in Santa Fe and it also should be yours.
I arrived at Hotel Santa Fe with 30 minutes to spare before the start of a workshop. There was no parking! I circled and then, panicking, parked in the registration zone and went to the front desk. I was told they were hosting several luncheon meetings, hence the parking shortage. That made sense and before I could ask about other parking options, the desk clerk offered without hesitation to give me her parking spot. She went outside to move her car so I could pull in, and I was at the workshop with time to spare. The three day meeting was fantastic, the food was consistently high quality, varied and fresh, and my hotel room was excellent. I love this hotel and the people who run and staff it.
We have stayed here many times, although this time we opted for the regular rooms rather than the Hacienda. We had a junior site. The room was very small and it seemed the bathroom was minuscule. There was no door to the closet, just a curtain that pulled shut.Curtains c overing the windows would have been good. Breakfast was very good. Service here is always helpful and the van into town is a wonderful convenience.
We have stayed there twice now. Each time the service was spectacular. The manager, Eloy was very attentive and could not have been more helpful. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable. The bartender makes drinks the old fashioned way...great! The food was excellent, and the ambiance of the dining room was unbeatable. We had breakfast in the same room with the wide patio doors open, looking out onto a beautiful garden. Just down the hall they have a nook with fresh high quality coffee each morning. We stayed here for three nights right after the first of the year and had a very pleasant stay. Coming here was a change for us, but we were excited to get such a great place to stay on short notice. The hotel was still decorated for the holiday season which was a great addition to our stay.
Our room was very up to date and pleasant. The beds were comfortable and the pillows made getting a good nights rest, easy. The bathroom was a pretty standard hotel bath with the sink in the main bathroom area. The amenities in the bathroom were nice.
The hotel staff we met were very nice and hospitable. We asked for a couple of extra items and the housekeeping staff brought them right away. We did have one day where the housekeeping staff forgot to service our room which was a little disappointing. We informed the front desk and they said they would send someone down right away, but we were just ready to turn in for the night.
The location of the hotel is pretty good, even though you are not staying in the downtown area. It is not a very long walk downtown if you want to enjoy some fresh air and work off the enchiladas from last night. We were also a very short walk from the Santa Fe farmers market and the Railyard area which has a microbrewery in it. If you do not feel like walking the hotel offers a free shuttle service to locations within a one-mile radius which covers downtown and canyon road.
Overall we had a great stay and look forward to our next trip to Santa Fe.
