How to Get There
The first room - it was a smoking room.
I had to move all our family laguage.
Second room they gave me - the bed was broken. Of course we noticed it after we have unpacked all our stuff. Again...
The 3rd room they gave us - alegedly an improved room on 6th floor!
It stinked!! Not from smoke though. Just humidity. But really bad odor.
They now gave us room #4 on 7th floor. Hopefully this time it will be better.
No. Same humidity odor. Geez.
What an unpleasant experience staying at this SHERATON!
From the pictures and descriptions online it seemed like a good deal, great place to stay for 4 days while on vacation. NOT the case, was actually kind of bummed, pictures are very deceiving.
Restaurant seemed like it was closed more than it was open. Not quite sure of the hours but seemed like it was only open for breakfast. We never even got a chance to eat there.
Starbucks- NOT A FULL MENU. Couldn't even get iced tea.
The Bar- Opens at 3:30. and by 3;30 I actually mean 4:00 because they still have to set up their bar space. Bartender seemed extremely annoyed that we were there at 3:35 asking for a cocktail. Actually seemed annoyed period! Very disappointing! No morning mimosas or bloody marys. Bartender was an A$$! He finally warmed up but still should definitely not be behind a bar, serving drinks, entertaining guests. Overpriced cocktails. Food selection is not the greatest and I believe it comes from their so called "Grill".
Pool- Beware it is inside, which I thought at first would be awesome but be prepared for an overwhelming smell of chlorine and a headache to follow.
This hotel is conveniently located next to lots of shopping and restaurants.
Will definitely check out other options if and when we revisit!
My friends and I traveled to New Mexico from Texas to attend a wedding. We originally were going to stay in an Airbnb since we were arriving at 5 in the morning and a hotel couldn't gurantee checkin that early. We arrived to find out that the key wasn't left out for us and we couldn't get into the house. I called 2 hotels to try and get a room. One said it was imposible to override the system to check us in and the other wanted to charge an insane amount for checking in so early. Knowing the wedding was at the Sheraton, I called hoping that maybe they could help. The weekend night manager Dan answered and after telling him my dilemma, he was able to find me a room and told me he could check me in as soon as I could get there. He was absolutely a God send and literally made all of our nights!! On top of the great hospitality and Dan saving the day, the beds and pillows were amazingly comfortable!! All in all I definetly recommend and would stay here again in a heart beat.
My husband and I have stayed at this property a number of times over the years and have always found the staff to be well mannered and accommodating. The rooms are well appointed with the exception of a needed upgrade on the linens and pillows. Also, the club drinks are off-the-chain expensive.
First time at a Sheraton, and I travel a lot. Was there for one night. The staff we encountered were nice. The hotel itself....old, carpeting in room disgusting, hair in my bed....never again. If you are the type to sleep comfortably anywhere, you will be fine here. If you're a "hotel snob" like myself...stay away.
