Overview

Business traveler favorite in downtown Albuquerque, with a Southwestern restaurant and craft cocktail bar

The Lowdown

In downtown Albuquerque, just across the street from the Convention Center and near Central Avenue, the Hyatt Regency is a comfy base for business travelers and weekend trippers in Duke City. The 395 rooms and suites are uniformly spacious, with king or queen beds, work stations and simple tile bathrooms with over-tub showers and Portico amenities. All are done up in warm beige shades and many have mountain views. On the ground floor, Forque Kitchen and Bar is a favorite with guests and locals for its classic New Mexico fare like chimayo salmon, red quinoa with pepitas and agave glazed chicken, but also serves a simple breakfast menu from 6:30 am. There’s an in-house Starbucks for the morning caffeine hit and lounge-like HQue bar for after-hours craft cocktails and local microbrew beers. For fitness fanatics, the large gym is open round the clock, and there’s a seasonal outdoor pool with city views.

In the Area

It’s a quick walk to Albuquerque’s hippest neighborhood, EDo (East Downtown), which is home to several notable restaurants, including Grove Cafe & Market and Farina Pizzeria & Wine Bar. Albuquerque justly bills itself as the hot air ballooning capital of the world. Rainbow Ryders offers dawn and dusk rides high above the city and the Rio Grande Valley. America’s fabled “Mother Road,” Old Route 66, cuts a swath through the city. The best neighborhood for offbeat shopping, hip dining and cool nightlife is Nob Hill, a 10-minute drive east of the hotel. Head to the tasting room of the city’s Gruet Winery, whose champagne-style sparkling wines now appear at some of the nation’s top restaurants.

Great location and excellent service by the staff. They have great fitness facilities and restaurant choices. Was very happy with how close it is to the convention center. Literally across the street. Close to the Airport too .

Thanks!

We were here for the annual NAGC conference. This is a beautiful, clean hotel that did an excellent job of accommodating the conference. We particularly appreciated the help of Mr. Cesar Chavez. Thanks for ending our stay on a great note!

Beautiful Hotel with Five Star Service

Our room was absolutely perfect. The beds were comfortable and the front desk made sure it was located near an elevator on a lower floor. Every event held in their convention rooms was perfect. Food service was perfect and the meals were delicious. I would like to point at the Lauren at the front desk went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. She deserves an award as employee of the month!
