How to Get There
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel. My daughter was here for a conference and i went along for the ride. Our room was spacious and I honestly got a better nights sleep than i do in my own bed. There was a spa, workout room, game room with pool table, air hockey and foozball. The different seating areas throughout the lobby were comfortable and they had lots of charging stations to charge your electronics. The staff was more than accommodating and friendly. My favorite area was the M room which had amazing huge glass doors/wall. I spent a good portion of my morning in a comfortable high back chair reading and eating. There was a wonderful breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs, bacon and a variety of breads along with other breakfast choices. If i had anything negative to say it would be the dinner in the little restaurant. I ordered the angus burger which i expected to be what the description was in the menu that was in my room. Unfortunately what i got was a cooked FROZEN beef patty with a piece of cheese, small slice of tomato, one piece of lettuce and a couple of rings of onion.....not so bad until you get the bill for $17.00. I have to say though that the fries were great. Can't express how disappointed that meal was!! I highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area.
A year later since our last stay at the Marriot Forrestal my wife and I decided to visit once again for the weekend. First of all it was a pleasure to see the bellman Larry Ciccone once again. He remembered my wife and I immediately and did everything humanly possible to make our stay a great one once again. Larry is one of a kind, first class all the way.
We came for peace and quiet in the great relaxing environment and enjoyed the gym, walking trail, lounging by the beautiful pool setting and having drinks and food in the bar and lounge area. Always nice to sit near the glass enclosed fireplace, escpecially when it is lit up at night....
In addition food operations manager Christine Lopez was extremely hands on and engaging. She showed great interest and energy in talking to the guests like my wife and I and she was always non stop in walking around making sure everything was going smooth in the bar and eating areas.
Everyone at the front desk from check in to check out was extremely helpful. Our room was spotless and looked recently renovated and extremely quiet at night. Very pretty view looking out the window facing the wooded area.
We had such a good time that for the second straight year we never left the hotel all weekend to go into the lovely town of Princeton.
We shall return!
I have had the pleasure of staying at the Marriott Forrestal during my frequent business trips to New Jersey. The hotel is located a few minutes off of Hwy 1 just outside of Princeton. The hotel is very well managed with an extremely service oriented staff. A nice touch is the GM and a few of her team stand in the lobby for a few hours every afternoon greeting guests as they arrive. The overall facilities are good, with nice sized rooms and a recently remodeled bathroom. The hotel has a well-equipped work-out room and a large pool and Jacuzzi. One of the best offerings of this Marriott is the large M-Club which is located off the main lobby. The M-Club offers access to qualified Bonvoy guests. The club is excellent, providing a nice breakfast and a very extensive happy hour menu. Overall this Marriott is one of the best run Marriott’s I have stayed in.
Recently, I stayed at Princeton Marriott and I was impressed with the food and services at M-Lounge. In general, US Lounges are not known for hospitality compared to their counter parts in Europe and Asia. The services offered by Hostess Praveena made our stay enjoyable and exceeded our expectations. Princeton M-Lounge is available 24 hours and our needs were met
We just came to this property for a night, all of us had a pretty exhausting week so wanted a day out to just relax and have some down time with our boys. 5 min away from home this property looked perfect. We booked two adjacent rooms connected by a door which could be opened up. We are a family of four ( boys 5 and 14)
Issues started moment we checked in...keys were not working after we checked in, so we had to go back and again change the keys.
In the morning when my husband took my little one to the concierge lounge, again he had issues with the key accessing the lounge.
When I came in a little bit later to join them, again my room key was again not letting me access the lounge. The lady/ hostess ( name was Lumi) was exceptionally rude. Without even trying to understand what’s going on she was very dismissive.I told her patiently that my husband and child is inside and we are lifetime elite members. She told me only two per room can have access you can’t go in there.
I said I have two rooms booked. By then I had lost my patience. Called my husband who had to come out to get me in. She took my card and went to cFelt very unwelcome . Never ever going to step in here.
