Great Hotel

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. Great area to walk and dine as there are many options within walking distance. Parking available at valet or lot behind the hotel. We had the breakfast vouchers and was not disappointed.

The staff has been second to none - every time we stay!!

We have stayed here numerous times and have (as noted in previous reviews) established relationships with several of the front desk staff.

Upon arrival, we were personally greeted by Kiara who remembered us - after small chat and 'catching up', we had our room keys and a smile on our face; simply from being made to feel important by being recognized by the front desk staff. There was another young lady with Kiara and I am embarrassed I cannot recall her name - but she too, was very welcoming and remembered us.

I typically book our rooms via an third party app which leaves the room selection to the hotel at the time of check in. This time I booked quite later than usual, on the day of check in. I was concerned what we'd end up with, but, even with the hotel being pretty booked and holding several events 'in-house' - we lucked out with a corner room with a king bed, excellent view of the city and funny enough, we had a clear view of our car in the parking garage. The room was absolutely amazing - the best I think I have been in - barring suites I have stayed in at other properties. The bathroom was oversized and so clean.

We were in our room by 8pm on Saturday, immediately put the DND sign on the door and start to settle in. We soon discovered the tv is not working, so we call the front desk. They will send someone up to take a look - never realizing we had the DND on the door. We get a call letting us know that the operations guy (Ricky) will be sent back up. I immediately apologized for his having to come back. In less than 5 mins of his arrival he had gotten us turned on and working again. I handed him a tip, thanked him yet again and also apologized once while escorting him to the door. He was more than friendly and gracious. He seemed like a guy you wouldn't mind hanging out with or having a drink with. Ricky is now on our "top associates at the heldrich" list with the lovely young women we experience during check in and checking out.

Customer service is HUGE to me - and the heldrich associates have never disappointed. THIS is one of the top reasons we continue to escape to the Heldrich for a couple's weekend.

Jewel in the heart of New Brunswick

Great hotel in a great location in the center of downtown New Brunswick. Elegant rooms and upscale feel at a good price with a friendly and efficient staff. Only negative is the parking situation where the $30/day valet service dramatically increases the cost of staying here.
