How to Get There
We have stayed at quite a few Crowne Plazas and I was about to give up on the brand. We stayed here for a long weekend and couldn't be happier with the service and the staff.
We stayed on the 5th floor. Our bed was extremely comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was second to none! The facility was clean, and up to date. We did have issues with people in the hallway. There as a conference going on and when the conference goers would walk down the hall, they would be all talking fairly loudly and they even woke me up a few times. Staff was friendly except for one front desk clerk who was a bit curt when I asked if the water near the front desk would be refilled.
I think we have found the hotel where we will stay while visiting family in NJ.
Big enough room. Ok restaurant and bars. Staffs are friendly and eager to help you.
Please note that you can earn points for IHG membership only if you book from official site. Bookings thru travel agencies aren’t added.
This is a big facility with conference center and gym. I wish they have cafe or coffee shop. Price per night was about 150k including breakfast.
What a great place to stay. I stayed here while spending the weekend with family in New York City. The rooms were very clean smelled good. It's a nice hotel very self contained if you don't want to leave the hotel there is a nice workout center, pool, restaurant with a bar or a separate bar on the 2nd floor where they have a shuffle board and pool table plenty of room to hangout with friends and family. The restaurant in nice great food excellent breakfast buffet. The only complaint I have is that the cable tv in my room wasn't working when I mentioned it and asked if it could be the satellite they insisted it wasn't they moved me to another room same issue , they moved me again same issue. IT WAS THE SATELLITE. So 2 moved for no reason... other than that I had a great stay and would have rated it 5 stars instead of 4. I do recommend it for a weekend getaway.
The customer service at the front desk is Absolutely The worst I have seen in the long long long time, I travel for business all the time I constantly stand hotels overnight but the customer service I have received in the Crowne Plaza is the worst I've ever received.
You can tell that this hotel was considered modern and even luxurious about 20 years ago but time has extracted a toll that shows up in many areas of the property - worn furniture and carpeting, old fitness equipment that is not working, poor wifi, loud under window heating units, slow elevators, dark rooms with terrible lighting. The staff were incredibly friendly and trying their best to make up for a property that badly needs remodeling. The only bright light was the bar on the second floor. All in all, a passable hotel if you need to stay in the area but set your expectations low.
