How to Get There
Spent one night at this hotel. We had a suite which was great. Room was clean.
Reception staff were very friendly.
Breakfast is a nightmare. Avoid at all cost. It’s a 50 seater at most for over 300 guests. Lovely grounds. Would recommend this hotel, just not the breakfast.
First of: this place is massive. The facility is clearly designed as a conference center with a hotel attached. Having said this, the Crowne Plaza in Plainsboro certainly is one of the nicest conferencing facilities I have ever seen.
The buildings are designed into a huge 27 acre park that is lovingly maintained. Ideal for a walk in nature, just a few minutes from Princeton University (and a short drive from New York City, for that matter). Tennis courts are available if you want to swing your racket.
The hotel facilities appear brand new. My room was thoughtfully designed: light, airy, and clever use of space. The desk area is a joy to use, the Internet is reliable and fast. The fitness center, open 24/7, is well stocked for both cardio as well as strength training. The (indoor) pool appears almost Olympic sized.
Breakfast is served at the Forestall Grill, and there is a fairly large bar area, where they will gladly serve you finger foods together with your drinks.
All of this wouldn’t be half as nice as it is, if it wasn’t for the people providing the services there. In a word, they are spectacular. Greeting you with a warm smile, helpful and proactive. Highly recommend this place!
Large "conference" hotel located in a wooded area giving it a relaxing next to nature feel - facilities include a superb gym, pool & hot tub. Arriving in the rain I was delighted to see that there a places reserved in the carpark for Spire Elite Intercontinental Hotel Group loyalty members - especially since there had just been a torrential downpour - this is the first time I have seen this having stayed in a large number of hotel in the group. Room 4110 (south tower) was in good condition with some unusual furnishings. I also had access to the concierge lounge - just another touch that makes the stay more enjoyable.
The hotel had a larger than normal swimming pool - a big plus when traveling with a youth sports team. They also had a pool table and a basketball court, The rooms must have great soundproofing because they were extremely quiet even though the hotel looked to be at full capacity. The beds and linens were definitely above average. My only complaint was I wish the smoking area was somewhere besides the entrance. Seemed like you were always walking thru smoke going in and out of the building.
The hotel is a very nice location and mear to the University. There are shuttles all day long to to and return back from city center and Princeton University. Room and breakfaat are really very good. Só You must consider sraying here if you are in a Business trio.
