The room itself was lovely. More on that later ... We do not watch TV on beach visits. Too many other things to do. We were perplexed at night to see some glow coming from the furniture along the wall opposite the bed. My wife opened the door to find the TV playing (sound off) and tuned to Fox News. Reading reviews the next morning we were more than surprised to read that another guest had the same Fox News experience. Each night of our 3 night stay, we found that Fox News had been turned on. I suppose that the owner is free to use their business to promote their politics ... but customers are also free to stay elsewhere. There was a woman on premises until 1pm each day who was most responsive and helpful, but otherwise there is no one on site, no front desk, and - in our case - a 50% response rate to phone calls. There were sweet "warmest of welcomes" signs on each door, but the rooms were full of thou shalt not rules (do not use too much toilet tissue, dining in room is discouraged, etc.). The room itself was stylish, large and had a sizable balcony, nice linens and a comfortable bed. Oh yes.... there is a TV in the room, too.

Pleasant stay

Very nice rooms and the "self service" approach presented no problems. One odd twist: when we got back to our room after maid service the TV was always on and always tuned to Fox News, no matter whether the set had been on or whether it had been tuned to another station. Other guests reported the same.

At first I was skeptical bc of the lack of a front desk but everything was great. Beautiful room just as pictured. Cute little town nice restaurants right there and stores for liquor or snacks etc. Would definitely stay again. Bed was amazingly comfortable.
