How to Get There
Hotel is starting to show its' age. Room was not 100% clean with some dirt still on the bathroom light switch and door molding. The TV was sitting lopsidingly on the stand. The cleaning crew was cleaning rooms up until 10:30 pm around our room. Room was definitely not sound proof as we could hear the room next door as well as all the noises outside the room.
I have stayed here before and would probably not do so again as this time it was very disappointing. Still has the best views of NYC and is in a great location to transportation at a great price to still visit NYC.
It was a good stay, the crab cake burger was delish. Just don’t like how you have to go around all of the construction blockades just to get to the sidewalk. I’d visit here again because it’s close to my office but I hope the construction ends soon.
This hotel is perched out over the water. My room was on the south side of the building and had amazing views down to the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. If you are interested in enjoying that amazing view, note that the shades are mechanically operated, and that the switches are located on the wall adjacent to the windows. Nothing so menial as having to raise or lower the shades yourself. I'd give this place a 5, but the $50 per day charge for parking is a bit of a turn off.
