First time at this hotel since the Marriott merger and have to say it runs circles around the local Marriott hotels! The concierge club was great and Christine the hostess was over the top! Will always book here!

Great location

Great spot, short walk to many taverns, restaurants and shops. The recently completed new club room was nice. Christine on in the evening was very helpful and friendly as were the women at breakfast. Would recommend.

Building showing its age

Here for a couple of nights. As I understand it, this was a hospital that's been converted into a hotel. It's odd shape gives rise to rooms with odd shapes (try triangular or trapezoidal). That leaves scant space for one to enjoy.

Bed was comfy enough.....pillows were not too high. Sweet. Temp control in room was good. They also had the proximity card system installed, so one would not have to 'insert' the room key to open the door. The elevator though still had the 'insert' key for room access, which doesn't really work. One could actually just press the floor button without doing that.

Coffee is available just beside the elevators on the lobby floor - great ! The pool and fitness room were in the lower level. Pool was indoor and heated. Didn't get to try it. Fitness room was basic plus a workout machine. Basic meaning treadmills, cycles, ellipticals and free weights. There was ample space for stretching also, a rare thing these days.
While the decor in the rooms were nice, the plumbing and furniture are dated. A make over is due. The big screen TV is the room is awesome. Lots of outlets for charging your electronics. A nicer touch would be just USB outlets.

OVerall, pretty good, and expected for the Sheraton brand.

Downtown location

Stayed here for two nights. Have stayed here once before, the location is downtown within walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc. self parking across the street is$20 per day, you can go in and out as much as you need. Shout out to Patrick at the front desk. We mentioned we were interested in live music and he researched to find something we might like. As others have mentioned, it Is showing signs of wear, but was clean. The only negative thing I can say is that we were on the second floor and there was a function going on right below us. You could hear the music in our room, it was over around 11 pm, didn’t bother us much, but others wanting a peaceful night may not have liked it. Overall the location makes this hotel. Service good. Clean and comfortable.

Dated Hotel With Mediocre Service
Reviewed 2 months ago

The property is dated and in need of renovations. Carpeting is stained and wallpaper is old/out of style. Parking is expensive. The restaurant is nice, but not up to the standards of local restaurants nearby. Exercise equipment is fair but also needs updated. Staff is generally nice, but desk staff really did not care if I was a Premiere Platinum or if I was satisfied with the lack of amenities. When I voiced my disappointment over the lack of concierge lounge, was told it was a franchised location and they could make their own decisions about levels of service. I will not be staying at this property again.
