How to Get There
Nice hotel just off the strip. Big suite with a washer and dryer. Got to check in a bit early luckily. Giant bathroom and tons of closet space fully equipped kitchen. Friendly staff and wonderful valet drivers!! If you want a nice place a bit away from the noise and people this is it!
We stayed for a night, the studio was gorgeous we could see ferris wheel, the bathroom was clean and specious. We didn't use the kitchen, but this hotel would be perfect if you plan on saving money on food. Also be ready to pay an additional $30 for wifi, pool. I explained to the lady we weren't using the pool she said it was a standard fee.
The tacos in the restaurant/bar in the lobby were pretty bad I'll say skip but try the onion rings.
Around the corner(walking distance) is the Ellis Island Hotel, casino for a late night snack or something fun, we went on karaoke night and had a blast.
If you are ordering an Uber make sure you message them the name of the hotel since the hotel entrance is having the drive way not the street.
Funny thing, every year , for the past 10, my wife and I have stayed here in July, and , still find this hotel better than the strip mega hotels. When we stay here, we always find housekeeping always on their feet, and friendly. Sure ,the wine is not high end, but, it’s. Free!! They have nicer wines at the lounge, But-cha-gonna -pay-more-for-emm! We always start our nights out with free, cause, we’re gonna spend on dinner later!!
The pool is open till 10, and always well maintained. Had a bit of a shake-up, on Sunday night, at 11pm, the smoke alarm went off, and we had to evacuate the hotel. An adventure, and it was not the fault of the Platinum,a burned out bulb in an unoccupied room!
and on the whole reassuring that fire systems still work, for our hotel at least. They handled it completely professionally.
Julius at the front desk , Lori and the lounge crew, Jimmy, and all the valet staff, we consider our “family” when we come to shop and eat well. Rooms clean and comfortable,And large.
And nice flat screen TVs.
And ac that’s automatic, built in, and quiet.
And all the other amenities.
of ALL the places to stay in Las Vegas...DON"T waste your time at the Platinum! the location might me great, but the service lacks in...service! i got to the hotel at 3 p.m. and my room wasn't ready until 10 p.m. they didn't even offer a dinner or bar voucher. on another occasion, i had to wait only 2 hours, was issued a key only to find the housekeeper asleep on my couch! i travel for business very often and THIS property has been taken off my list!
Mangement is the problem - nobody knows what is going on in this hotel - under construction - asked staff about restrooms at pool the staff did not even know that the restrooms at the pool were closed and they had no solution but to use our room. Food service very slow in the bar. Was not told the hotel was under construction when we checked in. VIP and gold memeber when checked in - nothing special but a draft beer - no upgrade or late check out. Will not stay here again - room was outdated - they need to update the coffee machine in the room and a few other items.
