The Lowdown

Vegas feels less like a city than its own self-contained universe, with enough restaurants, bars, nightclubs, casinos, shops and performance venues to keep you well-fed and entertained for years. And when exploring such a universe, you’ll to want to anchor yourself to the perfect planet. Choose Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort & Casino, which resides right in the heart of the Strip, so hundreds of those destinations for dining, gaming, shopping and more are within steps of your fit-for-a-movie-star accommodation. In fact, many of them are directly downstairs.
Indeed, the Condé Nast Traveller-approved Caesars Entertainment property’s eateries include Spice Market Buffet, which USA TODAY voted the Strip’s best buffet, plus a Gordon Ramsay burger joint, a steakhouse, a Koi location and a Mexican grill. There’s more than a mile of shops, plus a slew of fantastic bars, two pool decks, a casino and the only FlowRider in Sin City. And as far as which limited-engagement shows and residencies will be taking to The AXIS theater throughout the year? Only all the ones you’ve been hearing about for months: Backstreet Boys’ Larger than Life, J. Lo’s All I Have and Britney’s Piece of Me.

Your newly remodeled Ultra Hip room was inspired by celebrity and Hollywood culture and features seriously bold and glitzy décor, plush furnishings and luxurious bedding. Obviously, there’s also a generous flat-screen TV, so you can watch all your favorite Hollywood movies.

Twelve eating and drinking destinations at Planet Hollywood include a location of L.A. hit Koi, a Starbucks branch and a pin-up-girl-themed pizzeria purporting to serve the Strip’s largest slices. Sample cuisine from around the world at Spice Market Buffet, USA TODAY’s best overall buffet in Vegas, or get all-American at Gordon Ramsay Burger. Wash your eats of choice down with libations from the four bars, such as PH Shiver’s 46-oz. Bling Bottle or a sip from EXTRA Lounge – often patronized by correspondents of the TV program of that name.

Planet Hollywood Spa by Mandara is a Balinese-inspired space that comprises more than 32,000 square feet and 40 treatment rooms (including six couple’s rooms). Massages take their cues from ancient healing rituals, such as in the Mandara Four Hands Massage that combines Hawaiian Lomi Lomi and Swedish massage techniques; body treatments incorporate plant and flower infusions. There are also a salon and fitness center.

From your abode on the Vegas Strip, you’re within easy walking distance of local attractions, like live entertainment, legendary nightclubs and concert venues. You’re also near sprawling malls; impressive golf courses; and, most famously, plenty of casino slots machines and tables – starting with those already in your hotel. It’s not the only on-site attraction, either. Planet Hollywood houses two pool decks, the only FlowRider in Las Vegas, 1.2 miles of shops and multiple theaters. One of these is The AXIS, where Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, J. Lo and Pitbull will be performing this year, the first three as residents.

Comps are a joke
Reviewed 3 hours ago

Stayed 5 nights. Room had a mini fridge and coffee maker which is rare for Vegas. Room was clean when we arrived and cleaned daily by houskeeping. Drain in sink was very slow. Hotel room was very good noise wise did not here any outside noises, good for sleeping. Casino was fairly loud. Their resort credits you earn are a joke and will not be staying at a TR resort again. Will stay at M life in the future.

This was our first time staying at Planet Hollywood and we loved it. Our room had a great view of the strip and was very clean. So many options of where to eat and shop made this the perfect hotel. Thanks PH for a great vacation!

Mothe/Daughter Trip

Momma and I stayed here and we had a great time. The location is central on the strip. There is also a bid stop right in front which makes getting around a lot easier. We enjoyed the fact that The Miricle mall has two ABC Stores which has great prices and outside there is a Walgreens. We found better prices there for snacks. We spent most of our time at the family pool as the adult pool is crowded. They play music at both pools but the music at the adult pool is a little better. We learnt that the cabanas in between the pools are first come first serve and no charge. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice and the beds are super comfy. We went with a non smoking room and it was great. We didn't get a view of the strip or the fountains. We asked to be moved but were told the rooms are all booked we tried two days in a row and no go. We were right by the elevators and we heard a couple of people but is wasnt always noisy like ive read on here. We barley heard anyone even when we were sleeping. I've read on here that the hotel is very Smokey it is but so are all the other hotels I walked through as well. Pin Up Pizza is awesome for a late night snack or just to enjoy overall. We has a great Time at PH!

This is the last time I’ll stay here
Reviewed 11 hours ago

I’ve been to Vegas 3 times and this is my second stay at PH and will definitely be my last. I returned because it was pleasant the last time and the location is great. This time around has been very average. First let’s talk about the unhelpful staff. Stupidly, my partner lost his backpack on arrival and not one staff member wanted to know about it and offered zero help in order for us to maybe find it. And the noise, we’re in the south tower, floor 20 (18 levels above the pool) and 10am every day our room is booming with bassy music from the pool party area. It’s Vegas! We aren’t getting to bed until past 2am so to have this nonsense going on while still trying to sleep and enjoy a relaxing holiday is a joke! Every day I’ve been here I’ve wished we booked somewhere else. Next time we will.

Stayed 4 nights at Planet Hollywood . Check in was easy and receptionist Joel was polite , friendly and helped with my request for room.
Room was large on 17th floor looking out on South Strip and Airport.
Room was clean , well furnished with plenty storage .
We were in Vegas for music festival so did not spend much time in room or at hotel .
We ate once at Lord of Sandwich- cheap, fast , tasty.
Used the outdoor pool once and had a quick grouse around Miracle Mile Mall which surrounds the hotel .
Room was cleaned every day , fresh towels and toiletries replenished.
Staff we had contact with at reception, lobby , bars were friendly and helpful .
Enjoyable stay .
