How to Get There
This hotel is located in the middle of all the action. The price is fair. The rooms are very clean. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The casino is great, and the bars are great too. The piano bar is my favorite.
This is not the Venetian or bellagio but you are also not paying those prices to stay. I go for March Madness and although their sports book is much smaller than most, the lines are much shorter than at the larger sports books.
Checked in at 8:00 Pm on a Friday. I was told that I was getting upgraded because they were all out of rooms that I had reserved. My son and I received a small, dingy room with a view of a brick wall. Our bathroom looked like a dog had used it for a chew toy. As we entered the hallway it was littered with empty service carts. For our listening enjoyment (being facetious of course) music from downstairs echoed throughout our room. I spent way too much money on this room and as a card carrying MLife member I was surprised to be downgraded to a room of this type. Will never stay at the NY, NY again.
The NYNY Casino is not too big and not too small. It is just right to have all the amenities needed without being so big that it is an effort to get around the resort.
The staff if friendly and attentive. They leave you with the impression that your satisfaction matters to them.
The hotel uses an old room key system, we were not told at check in not place the ke near your cell phone or other credit cards nor did they supply a blocking envelope for the keys. Our keys became de-magnatised on 3 occasions. Every time it happened I had to go back to the front which was a long treck on the 25th floor and a very long way from the elevator. They need to update the room key system to current technology and not use a magnet stripe on the key card
