How to Get There
If you have not been to the Elara you must go. After walking all day and evening through hordes of people and casinos it was such a treat to walk into an amazing beautiful lobby at the Elara. Then open the door to a wonderful suite, you just have to go "Ahhhhh....:" Bonus, the jet tub was a welcome to taxed muscles. We will be back!
We booked a 1 bedroom suite through Interval International. We exchanged our 1 bedroom timeshare for theirs. We have been with interval 17 years. In our past experiences, a 1 bedroom includes a kitchen and washer dryer, this is the main reason we book 1 bedroom and not a studio. Prior to check in we were on Elara's website and noticed that they have different layout 1 bedrooms and that some do not include kitchens. These are called Jr 1 bedrooms. We always get groceries so this was a concern for us. We called II and Elara to ensure our 1 bedroom would have a full kitchen. We were assured by both companies that we had a 1 bedroom. Two days prior to check in the Elara called us to see if we had any requests and again we confirmed that we would have the full size kitchen. On Friday 11/9 we checked in after a 6 hr flight, (It was 2am our time). We were very anxious to get to our room and crash. We went up to room 2101 and found it was a jr 1 bedroom with a small kitchenette. There was no stove, oven, full refrigerator. There was no dining room table, no projector tv screen, no washer dryer, no full size Jacuzzi tub. It was a major disappointment. My husband headed back downstairs to the front desk and he was told II reserved us the jr 1 bedroom. My husband explained that we talked to 3 different people who all confirmed that we reserved a full size kitchen bedroom and that we had groceries being delivered the next day and no where to go with them. The front desk manager said he'd investigate and try to move us the next day if possible. That never happened. So we started our vacation with a big disappointment. Besides that, here are the other things we noticed. The water pressure is very low, you have to flush toilets numerous times just to get toilet paper to go down. Showers are disappointing too due to the low pressure. The water is softened, so you feel very soapy. There are no hooks or racks in the bathroom so hanging towels to dry is a challenge. The beds and bedding are very nice. The decor was updated and pretty. The red and black that you see on the internet is gone (Thank goodness). The automatic shades are neat, but only go up and down, there is no in between settings. Prior to your arrival and throughout your entire stay you are being harassed to do their timeshare talk. There is a lot of wasted space in this particular room, when you walk in there is a 5x12 hallway that isn't utilized. There is a nice wrap around desk in this unit, but there are no receptacles which we found odd. The location of the Elara is wonderful. It's so nice that you don't have to walk outside to get to the strip. The Elara is connected to the Miracle Miles shops which connects you to Planet Hollywood Casino. It's nice that this resort doesn't have a casino and that you can escape from the smokey casinos here. We didn't use the pool, but it looked very nice. Our views from our room were spectacular.
We had a nice stay and the room exceeded expectations. The view from the twenty fifth floor was beautiful and the appliances were modern and useful. When we return to Las Vegas, we will look for a room here again. We stayed in a one bedroom suite.
From the moment that we arrived at the resort until the day we departed for home, everything was absolutely wonderful. The studio we occupied was clean, spacious and delightful. As I stated in a survey for the HGV- Elara, everyone was courteous, helpful and so much more. The amenities at the hotel are excellent and the proximity to many other major hotels for shows and gambling as well as shopping are superb.
Such a good location and nice property. Direct access to the miracle mile mall and the heart of the strip. Pool was very nice and the wall of window gave a gorgeous view. We went on a timeshare promotion and while it was 2 hours and 15 min. I would like to have back it was a hard but not unbearable experience. I highly recommend this hotel
