How to Get There
I really liked everything....design of all areas...spa was clean and
very nice...and i say as nice as you can find anywhere....spotless.
Reasonably priced restaurants...excellent buffet....sandwich shop
and gift shop....all nice. Rooms beautifull sheets soft...beds perfect
in cush vs. firmness...pillows nice but i always bring one that is
thin cause these hotel pillows are too big...bad for neck. Anyway
I honestly only had 2 issues...1. The room garbage cans were
too small so hard to throw away anything other than tissues.
2. The marble bath tops were a ''not very attractive marble and
had stained a bit....but still clean just had to mention it because
it was a stupid choice in counter tops... The pool area needs
a bit more tropical look...was a bit sterile looking....and had
no charm but was a well built pool...just not appealing.
Just the best resort hotel for all reasons....best choice from
my point of view having been in most las vegas hotels over
the last 30 years......staff was amazingly polite and well
trained....not your typical vegas staff but well mannered
maids, staff, desk clerks...
The TV was a bit small and remote was slow and channels
had glitches....but since most TV is junk I did not care.
We had a family reunion during the day at a park but since a couple booked there recommended this place for dinner on the Saturday evening of May 19.
Food was good and the staff were super. The surely handled exceptionally well the order taking as orders were placed by couples or groups separately. Meals were well presented and tasty. Ambiance - great. The M is the place to book at.
Always come for the buffet..a great room..quiet sleep. Freat poker at the main bar qith Stacey. The m is a fun step away from the strip..amazing value for the money..food is amazing too..we will be back
We had complimentary rooms at The M Resort, my daughter had the first 2 nights free, I had the 3rd night free and paid for the 4th night. We arrived on 07/22/18 around 11:45pm, while checking -in the front desk clerk told us we had what was called a back to back stay because of my daughter and I having free rooms. That Monday was my daughter's Birthday I gave her a Birthday card with $100 in it, we left with our stuff to go be with family before leaving I turned on the DO NOT DISTURB sign so no one would come in our room. We caught the shuttle to the strip, while on the shuttle my daughter remembered that she left her Birthday card on the bed. We thought it would be ok since I turned on the DO NOT DISTURB sign, not the case. On Wednesday we came back to our room to find that the DO NOT DISTURB sign was off and went in the room and my daughter's Birthday card was gone, there was a housekeeper next door, so I asked who cleaned the room that didn't need cleaning, she stated that she did but said that nothing was there when she went in the room just so happen the housekeeping supervisor(Lupe) was in the room with her. She asked what happen, we explained to her that someone who works there took my daughter's Birthday card with a $100 in it, so she called security, that was a joke. The head of security(Charlie) was very short with us and very nonchalant and as if we were lying, he asked my daughter to fill-out a voluntary statement, which she did. He said they would consider finding out what happen. We're livid because my daughter's card and money are gone. We go to check-out because we can't stay there any longer. I go to the front desk and ask for a manager the lady told me she was the manager which later I found out that she wasn't she was the front desk lead (Halea Seymore), so now your employees are lying to the guest. I told her my issue and she just nodded said that she understood. While we were sitting in the lobby crying, my sister said we need to talk to someone in a suit at that time there were 2 men in suits so she got up and approached one of them, I was too angry at that time to talk to anyone else. She approached a man named Joseph V the front desk supervisor, he said he would consider and call her. We left to go another hotel and casino for our last night in Vegas, while traveling Joseph called and spoke with my sister, he told her that since we had a back to back stay and housekeeping wasn't aware of it the person who came to clean the room on 07/24/18 thought we were checking out so they" discarded" the card because it was left behind. First, there was miss communication between the front desk and housekeeping to tell them that we had a back to back stay. My daughter never got to read her Birthday card and a $100 is gone. They need a new policy and not "discard" guest items unless it's trash, the card should've been turned in to the front desk or security, my daughter's name was on it plus it wasn't opened. The M Resort never followed through with this matter I even emailed Penn gaming who owns M Resort. It's not right that no one is being held accountable for this.
We normally stay at the strip but when we had the chance to stay at M with some friends, we did. We all enjoyed our stay. The M has a newer hotel with nicely appointed rooms. The pools looked nice but we didn't get a chance to enjoy it because we ran out of time. For a fee, locals can enjoy the pools as well. The casino floor is just as nice as the ones on the strip, and better than others. Because there are not as many visitors at M, which we liked, there are not as many tables but plenty enough to not have to wait. I especially enjoyed the craps table with a lower min and friendly dealers, who were helpful to newbies.
The buffet is also good along with the bistro/restaurant on site. It has excellent happy hour options and pricing. If you like to casino hop without driving, this casino is not for you.
