How to Get There
The resort has a great spa - we had a deep tissue couples massage and our therapists were amazing.
There are healin waters that you can also enjoy - the only drawback is that there are no co-ed steam, sauna, etc to enjoy as a couple along with the massage. So plan to spend a bit of time on your own and enjoy the additional amenities solo.
Fantastic staff and nice clean rooms. Dining options are limited, but the hotel and staff are amazing. Great value. It is a 25-30 minute drive to the strip. The workout facility is huge and nice with lots of natural light.
This hotel was quite luxurious. Our room was huge. The bed was comfortable. There were double doors leading into the bathroom which featured a separate shower and bath. Everything was neat and clean including my pet peeve, the grout. The hotel and grounds were grand and beautiful.
Why then four stars? Just a few little things around the edges. There was no easily accessible plug to charge all my things on my side of the bed and there was no light on my wife's side of the bed. Also the water temperature in our room was no sufficient. That said, I took two showers in my stay there. I turned the water to the hottest setting on the first one and got a warm shower. I repeated this on the second shower and took what was at best a luke warm shower. Right at the end of the shower, it suddenly turned nearly scalding.
I talked to the concierge on Friday about getting discounted tickets to a show for Saturday. She said they had a partnership (Cirque du Soliel), but that I would need to be there in person so that I could see the seating chart and such. The next day when I went to see her, she was not working that day. If I was asking about a Saturday show, that is something I think might have come up in the conversation. Also, they only have one person doing concierge? And not on Saturday? Maybe this it normal. I don't know.
The food for breakfast was a mixed bag. The potatoes were dry and kind of tasteless, but all of the fruit was really good. I'd say 8 out of 10. The cost was $25.00 on Sunday though and they didn't really add that much. In fact, the bananas were actually missing that day.
I can't comment on cost because someone else paid but overall, I would give the place 4.5 out 5 stars, if they allowed half stars. I'd definitely stay there again. Way better than Harrah's on the strip which I would give about 2.5 stars. Hope this helps.
The hotel itself is decent. Not over the top. The area around it is hit or miss. Many of the businesses are closed. The is a gourmet market that is fantastic without price gouging due to the relatively remote location. 30 minute easy drive to the strip. Good brunch.
This was the nicest hotel/resort that I have ever stayed. The service was excellent and the amenities are unreal! My overall stay was amazing. I will definitely be returning for a getaway with my spouse!
