Hard to believe that we suffered through that experience. It was just literally terrible
In such a beautiful, beautiful location w/literal waves lapping up against the windows we sat at 9 PM on a Saturday evening in St Barths (!) to a completely empty restaurant. We were the only diners at 9PM. We had driven a good ways to come to The Manapany after seeing how lovely it looked during the afternoon.
All I can say is that the food was simply inedible. The "chicken w/thyme" was what we called "3-D chicken" , it had large tough, triangular pieces sticking up at you in between crispy bacon strips (why?) and some smatterings of odd colored sauces and strewn around perhaps root vegetables. Tough, strangely prepared, as if by a child. Sent it back for the wahoo fish. God knows how long it took for that to come out but it finally did tasting exactly like the chicken. Tough and inedible. Presented also in this strange way-terrible plate appeal and tasteless food. My wife's steak was "fair": at best -We were actually there waiting so long to get served that she feel asleep at the table.
The servers were not French ppl,. and were not trained to serve St Barth's clientele.
I did not blame them as they work with the hand that they are dealt, but the chef MUST GO if this hotel is ever going to be successful.
It's so sad because I had read some the previous reviews and I figured that it could not possibly be true, but it was,

The Bucket

My wife and I spend about 2 months per year in St. Bart’s and always stay in villas. This time our villa wasn’t available for the last 5 days of our visit so we decided to stay at Manapany. It is a beautiful place our suite was quite nice and the staff is quick and polite. Our problem is with the restaurant and the quality of the food. Alarming in an island known for their food. The lunch and dinner menus are identical! Most hotel guest don’t dine here for dinner as they head out to the many better choices. A treasure is Rodolphe and the boutique he runs and Julie the fine young woman on the restaurant staff.

Perfection through and through

This was our first stay at the hotel manapany in st barths, we immediately felt at home. It was so aligned with us and the vibe perfectly resonated with us. It is eco friendly with solar panels, electric cars only and lots of healthy food options etc. The room was magnificent, my daily ritual includes a daily bath so we snagged one of the few rooms with a tub. The sound of the ocean was so healing and nurturing. My thai massage at the spa was excellent and so unique and restorative. The food was so gourmet and the staff takes the cuisine and level of perfection so seriously. We stayed for 5 nights and it flew by we already prebooked next year and cannot wait to go back. Amazing experience all around.

Extraordinary stay at The Manapany!

We have just finished an extraordinary stay at Manapany. From the day we arrived till the end of our stay, we have been treated with elegance, sweetness, and attention. Warm arrival with welcome drinks at the bar serving exquisite cocktails. Our beachside Suite was exceptional and located directly by the beach, we woke up each morning with view on the ocean and toes in the sand ! The breakfast is amazing fresh and tasty, and although we had diner out at the St. Barth restaurants, the two diners we had at the Manapany were excellent, in particular homemade desserts ! During this week, there was the famous « Art Week », and it was truly beautiful with a nice cocktail by the pool spa. Electric car rental is a plus for the island, we truly recommend it and is not as expensive as renting a normal car. The hotel staff is friendly and was constantly seeking to assist us and make us feel at home.
Given our amazing experience, we recommend it and we will come back for sure !

Fantastic stay

My husband and I just returned from an amazing stay at hotel Manapany. I cannot say enough about the friendly, attentive staff who went out of their way to accomodate our every need. We have stayed at many high end hotels including Eden Roc on St. Barth and found the service to be comparable or even better in some ways. The hotel is on a beautiful beach, though there are some rocks. It is small and cozy yet glamorous. Breakfast (included) was simple yet delicious. We truly felt at home and literally can’t wait to book another stay at the Manapany. There are a few staff members I would like to mention for their outstanding service, Wissem, a waiter in the restaurant was amazing. Samy, the bellman was fantastic. Elisa the concierge was outstanding. Jovanna the waitress also amazing. Finally, Coline, the hotel manager was outstanding, always present to make sure we, the staff and the facility were all taken care of. Amazing place. Thanks so much guys! Hope to see you all again soon
