Nicknamed Music City, U.S.A, Nashville is an international country capital, and you’ll want to swing by one of the famous venues – The Bluebird Café and Station Inn, for instance, along with the minutes-away Grand Ole Opry – when you visit. Another legendary attraction is the full-sized Parthenon replica (built for the 1897 Centennial Exposition), while an assortment of parks and gardens add a bit of green to the cosmopolitan destination. For a one-of-a-kind day trip, head to the Jack Daniel’s whiskey distillery, about an hour and a half southeast.
