Great B&B in Napa - great location!
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

My boyfriend and I spent the weekend in Napa and White House Inn was the perfect place to stay. It is a little off the beaten path, but also a 5 min drive from tons of restaurants downtown. Its also about a 5 min drive to the Wine Train. It is a beautiful, cozy, well kept property. The grounds are beautiful and inviting. Small plates breakfast is cute and a nice way to start the day before wine tasting, they also do a wine hour 5-6pm. If you have a chance check out Celadon for dinner, its amazing and very close by.

Fabulous Stay

My 2 sisters and I just returned from a fabulous trip to Napa Valley. We spent 3 nights at the White House. Our stay could not have been better. Our room was on the third floor and had a king bed and a single bed. There was a fire place, a sitting area with 2 chairs, a wonderful shower with lather bath products in our room. Candace and Scott the inn keepers could not have been more helpful. They even carried my sister's over size suit case up to our room. We were also provided with an iPad to use during our stay. It was preloaded with things to do and see, wineries, and restaurants. There was an outdoor pool with lots of lounge chairs, Bahama beds, whirlpool and a fire pit. There is a happy hour from 5-6 pm with wine and hour devours. Breakfast was unbelievable!!! There was probably 10 different small plate selections every morning. very fresh and delicious! There was also smoothies and fresh juice. Someone was constantly checking to make sure that the breakfast bar had not run out of anything. Scott and Candace know how important those small touches are to enhance your stay and they are on point. I cannot wait to stay here again and be spoiled!

A beautiful experience

This bed and breakfast offers cozy, romantic rooms, with high ceilings, a digital fire place, mini splits, ceiling fans and black out curtains. Each room also has an Apple TV where you can log in with your accounts.
Stuart and his beautiful wife take good care of the guests and prepare a healthy homemade breakfast, in tiny tasting sizes, Don´t hesitate to repeat your favorites, because there will be different choices every day. The lounge-breakfast room is lovely and comfortable.
The garden has a pool with long chairs and Tahiti beds, and lounges with fire pits, for all weathers.
There is no elevator, but there are rooms in the ground floor, and some of them are handicapped friendly. Be sure to reserve one if you need it.
There is a small parking place beside the house, with no extra charge.

Old Meets New

There are so many fantastic places to stay in the Napa Valley. We live about an hour away so we're lucky that we get to visit for the day to taste and pick up wines when we feel like it. But on certain occasions...or when we visit one too many wineries....we end up staying a night or two and turn our quick trip into a mini getaway. We found The White House Inn when deciding last minute to stay the night. We loved everything about it until our bathroom sink didn't drain. And then the toilet. We first reported the sink and was told someone would take a look. Since we were heading out, we figured someone would come in and fix it and all would be well. Upon returning, however, we found that not only did anyone not look or fix it...but that our toilet wouldn't flush either. So again we reported it and because we couldn't use it, we had to use the toilet downstairs. Thankfully, the shower was fine but having your sink and toilet not work made it challenging.

Overall, the White House Inn was great. The location, the space, the breakfast, and service were all fantastic! But having the bathroom inconveniences made it less than stellar. We were also a bit disappointed that when we reported the issues above during check out, all we got was a "I guess we should check our plumbing more often!" type of response.

We would love to come back to this Inn, but after that experience, and with Napa having a plethora of wonderful lodging to choose from, we may just go somewhere else.
