What a Terrible Visit.

So I have been to Foxwoods a couple times I never stay at the Grand Pequot and usually stay at fox tower. This time I decided to stay, man was I disappointed. First it was started by only one person checking in a bunch of people at the front desk. Next was the fact I booked a non smoking and got a smoking room when I have asthma. They stated they would use an ionizer in the room, this helped a little but not much for the floor. Secondly the bed was probably the worst bed I have ever slept on. I mean the bed felt like I slept on a concrete block that made squeaky noises, I'm truly disappointed in Foxwoods.

Fantastic Stay

Spent three nights here last week. From check in to check out our stay was one word. FANTASTIC.... first class service.... from all departments.... Can't wait to go back again soon... without a doubt one of our favorite getaways...

Just in case you missed it, there are not just those high 15% hotel taxes (not their fee), but Foxwood adds an additional $21.95 “resort fee” to their searched for quoted rate and your bill.

The room would have been very nice: clean, quiet, and comfortable except for:

The bathroom was missing a shower curtain
The was only one wash cloth and hand towel
- resolved around 7pm the night of - and only after someone checked, looked and verified the above. We reserved the room for three adults.

The sink was awkwardly high and set back too far from the front of the vanity - and the faucet was incredibly close to the back edge of the sink causing water to pool on the vanity.

The shower/ tub is VERY high to step in and out.

Pillows were hard - bedding was “crunchy, crinkly” as other reviews also confirmed.

Finally, if you want to “self park” and tote luggage, it is a incredibly long trek from the lot to the hotel.

The good:

If you are okay with valet, it is free, friendly and efficient.

Beds are firm.

Check in/out was quick and efficient.

Clean, well appointed room with a desk & an office type chair, plus a love seat and table. There are plenty of outlets (hard to spot initially) on the front face of the night stand.

Just not a fan of “resort fees” and extra charges for what should always be standard free amenities. We did get 2 bottled 12 oz waters - whoo hoo!
