How to Get There
With so many hotels already booked full, I decided on Anticavilla as it was one of the properties we were considering for our wedding. I almost always feel that I have been charged to much for services at expensive hotels, but not this one. If it is in your budget, then you will find your experience worth every penny. From check in, to sitting with drinks on our balcony, to my fiancee's massage, we loved this place. While we did not personally try and enjoy the restaurant, I was told by people there and even staff at other locations how good the reputation is, and it was always busy. Were I interested in spending for a nicer hotel in Cuernavaca, I would not hesitate to stay here again. One negative: the young lady asked to show us the property made some mistakes, like not showing us the capilla where the actual wedding service would have taken place, and she could not tell us prices for a variety of options. Were I in charge of selling that place for private functions I would make them a lot of money: the property is compact but lovely and could have so many potential uses. It is a wonderful boutique hotel with incredible amenities.
The staff is very friendly and helpful with everything. The garden is beautiful and the restaurant very nice even though we only had breakfast with homemade fresh baked sweet bread. Overall a treat since they only have a few rooms.
In March this year we had our most memorable and amazing wedding I could have ever dreamt to have at Anticavilla in the heart of Cuernavaca.
We had a very small intimate event with just a few tens of people, the closest family and friends, as we have been married for a couple of years before having the actual wedding. And because now we live in Mexico City, what better place to have our special event than Cuernavaca...The City of Eternal Spring.
Anticavilla is such a romantic, tropical, Mexican small luxury hotel with a super cool modern European touch, that made us both fall in love with it. And what I also loved about the place was that just next door there is this beautiful small intimate chapel where we held our ceremony and it was so perfect.
In fact everything that day turned out perfect, thanks to Alexa Molina. She was our wedding coordinator and she did such a great job, I’d work with her over and over again. She is a great listener, professional and executer and such a delight to deal and talk with. She had a very good input and she helped us every step of the way to achieve the wedding of our dreams.
So a HUGE THANK YOU Alexa and Anticavilla and the whole staff there who was incredibly helpful and attentive with us. We’ll visit you again soon!
I was told that this hotel was originally built by an ex governor of the State of Puebla as his private residence in the State of Guerrero and it was later bought, expanded and turned into the beautiful hotel it is now. My wife and I, together with another couple, stayed here on June 18 and 19, 2018 in two fabulous Jr. Suites. These Jr. Suites are spacious, comfortable and elegant. The showers are modern, with multiple showerheads. (Only drawback was that the rain showerhead had calcification that caused it to squirt water in all different directions) The restaurant serves excellent, delicious food and the waiters are professional without being obsequious. I wish I had written down all of their names to thank them all, but I just can recall Felipe, who served our last breakfast at this place. I sincerely wish I had more to do in Cuernavaca to find an excuse to return to this hotel.
This hotel was my favorite part of being in Cuernavaca. The restaurant and grounds were beautiful. The rooms were spacious, very modern even though the hotel itself has a traditional Mexico old world feel. Only saw one other guest, felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Its about 15 min to the downtown area.
