Miramar La Cigale
How to Get There
We stayed here for three days , it was a return visit we were here about a year ago . The rooms are lovely very modern staff friendly and helpful , the main difference this time was that the food was excellent we had evening meal each night and really enjoyed . I don t know if the chef has changed but we much preferred the food this time round
We spent 9 days in this newly renovated hotel and enjoyed every minute. Staff is very effiecient and helpful, Rooms are very comfortable and have a beautiful view. My wife
enjoyed very much the Thalasso and I was swimming in the large seawater pool. As the
weather has been very pleasant we did a lot of walking tours recommanded by the very
The seafood buffet on Sunday is outstanding and the 2 restaurants offer interesting menus based on local and seasonal food.
Great place if you are looking for a relaxing holiday.
This was one of the best places on my tour. I am an ocean lover but the pool was were I spent the most time. It's a short walk to the beach but the weather was cool and the pool was more inviting The food and service is wonderful. There is a lot of history in this part of France. I love the people that I met.
The external architecture of this boat shaped hotel is excellent and the interior is interesting, recently redone and well maintained.
However, the idiosyncrasies of the architecture create some issues - the pool and the hamman are separated by several floors. Entrance to the pool area is through a number of public rooms - but, I guess in a spa one gets used to guests wandering around in robes.
The salt water pool just didn’t seem clean and the water was cloudy. There are no signs suggesting that showers be taken before entering the water and many guests did not shower.
Our bathroom seemed designed for the handicapped and was spacious. However, there was no shelf in the shower for soap or shampoo. The only places for the containers in the shower were the floor or a control valve were balancing was tricky.
The partition between the shower and the rest of the bathroom was too small to keep the floor from being soaked.
The room was quite large and comfortable and a nice deck with views.
The port was one step above “Coney Islandy” to us, with mediocre restaurants and many clothing shops. There was a nice patisserie for breakfast.
There is a deep, sandy beach.
Went as a family - they put a cot for the baby in the room and a small bed for our toddler. You have to book a suite rather than a normal room for some reason- ended up costing an extra €100 per night but ok, because the suite was lovely.
Great views. Good spa downstairs (kids not welcome there!). Good food, although very expensive.
Overall, a nice treat
