My husband I have enjoyed staying at many Bed and Breakfast across the USA. Pearl of the Sea ranks right up there with the best of the best! Thank you Linda for making us feel so welcomed! LOVE this place!

Lovely, lovely, lovely

My husband & I decided to go on a last minute trip to St. Augustine. I couldn't find a reservation for a B&B in town so we luckily found this one on Trip Advisor that is a short drive (15 min) out of St. Augustine in Crescent Beach. It had excellent reviews and the price was fair. We didn't arrive for check-in until almost 11:00 but Linda was very understanding, met us at the door with a smile and took us to our beautiful French room. The pictures online don't do the French room justice. It is so beautiful and so romantic. (If you insist on a shower then this isn't the room for you as it has a large jetted tub with a handheld shower head, which was fine with us as it truly stuck to the French theme.) The bed was firm and comfortable. We got a good night sleep.
Breakfast was served in a window between 8:30-9:30. There were plenty of tables inside and outside to be served the 3-course delicious and beautifully presented breakfast. Coffee was available before breakfast so we took our coffee down to the boat house to watch for manatees and dolphins in the river. We saw plenty of both! We decided we really liked staying at this B&B because we had the relaxing beach vibe until we decided to take the drive/ Uber into the Old City for our fun. Truly the best of both worlds in St. Augustine!
Linda was extremely attentive and hospitable. The chefs came out both mornings to present the breakfasts. The views from the back of the house were wonderful. Our room was beautiful and clean and we loved the theme. We would definitely stay here again.

A real pearl.

We found this place by accident when it was recommended by the manager of another B&B where we were staying. We were in old town St Augustine for a few days to celebrate our 52nd anniversary and were looking for a B&B over on the beach side to finish up our trip. This place is wonderful. While it is on the river side of the island rather than the ocean side, the view is still spectacular. The staff was wonderful, especially Linda, who went out of her way to make our stay special. A delicious breakfast in bed, complete with a special desert prepared for our anniversary, was a nice way to top it off.

The staff and the hotel was amazing and outstanding. The staff was especially professional, friendly, and very helpful. When we arrived, we were greeted by the hostess ms. Linda and she had everything ready for our stay. She gave a personal tour of the facility and also made us feel very welcome. This is one of the best hotel stay I’ve ever stayed and love the atmosphere of the hotel.

The breakfast was very delicious. The chef gave us a personal welcome and explained how the food was prepared. We had a Greek style breakfast which was outstanding and very tasteful. The coffee was outstanding also. Ms Linda and Ms Amanda was exceptional and very professional and amazing hostess and chef. I loved my stay so much we stayed an extra night. We did not want to leave. Beautiful place and staff.

Splendid Weekend Retreat
Reviewed 4 months ago

Just got back from a weekend getaway to St. Augustine and am SO happy I chose the Pearl of the Sea. From check in to check out, we received a level of service that seemed honest, attentive, and so much better than even the finest hotels provide. Our room (the British Suite) made us feel like we were staying with a wealthy relative for the weekend with its Jacuzzi tub, large bed, and awesome view from the balcony.

My girlfriend (not a morning person) was so happy to wake up both days because the breakfast was that good. The chef made Italian one day and Mediterranean the other.

The Pearl is pricey but is much better than the suites at hotels nearby. You really get what you pay for here.

Thanks for everything, Linda!
